BIGBANG hypes fans with reunion selca on Instagram

Korean idol group BIGBANG showed off their menacing teamwork through a photo commemorating their friendship. 

On October 3rd, Taeyang posted a photo taken after wrapping their recent fanmeeting event in Singapore. The photo featured the members in an elevator with their friends and was also captioned as, “Bye Singapore. It’s worth it.” Youngest member Seungri can be seen with a brght smile and a V-sign pose as the rest of the members posed around him.

T.O.P, however, was not able to join the group in Singapore due to a personal schedule.

The photo was a big hit to their fans as it showed the candidness of the members. Meanwhile, BIGBANG recently celebrated their tenth anniversary since debut which was commemorated with great success through a concert last month.

BIGBANG also generated hype of a possible return after Seungri revealed that they are currently recording in secret.

T.O.P’s charity art auction sales surpass $17 million

A charity auction of an art collection curated by BIGBANG‘s T.O.P with Sotheby‘s impressed many by raising 135,875,000 Hong Kong dollars (approximately $17.5 million USD including the buyer’s premium). The original estimate for the sale was 90 million Hong Kong Dollars (approximately $11 million USD).

The auction, titled #TTTOP, took place on the evening of October 3 in Hong Kong. The collection of arts celebrated new and famous artists all across Asia and the Western world.

Featuring over 25 lots of contemporary artworks, the selected arts not only showcased T.O.P’s artistic taste, but also brought attention to the young Asian collecting community.

The highlight of the sale was Lot #623, Jean-Michel Basquiat‘s painting ‘Infantry‘ which had an estimate of 30 to 40 million Hong Kong Dollars ($3.8 million to 5.15 million USD) and sold for 46.68 million Hong Kong Dollars (approximately $6 million USD).

The auction benefits the Asian Cultural Council (ACC) to provide opportunities to emerging Asian artists.
