British Magazine Shines Spotlight on BIGBANG’s G-Dragon as Fashion Icon

In a new article entitled “How K-pop star G-Dragon took over Paris couture,” British style magazine Dazed and Confused shines a spotlight on BIGBANG‘s leader G-Dragon as a fashion icon to watch out for.

It’s no secret to fans that G-Dragon is a trailblazing fashionista, but as Taylor Glasby writes, “[T]his Paris couture season marked G-Dragon’s entrée into the big leagues,” referring to G-Dragon’s attendance at the Chanel casino-themed couture show.

Taylor Glasby describes G-Dragon as a “natural style chameleon” and his taste as “fluid and far reaching,” giving a nod to his penchant for mixing and matching off-the-runway pieces with streetwear brands.

The article includes a gallery featuring G-Dragon’s photos from Paris Fashion Week as well as a handful of music videos from both his solo and group activities.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon is currently on a world tour with BIGBANG. The group recently wrapped up concerts in Thailand and will be hitting up Singapore next on July 18-19.

BIGBANG fans in Malaysia can look forward to a mind-blowing MADE World Tour concert on July 24 and 25 when the Korean boy group performs in what is being billed as one of the most expensive productions in the country's history.

"The production, considered to be one of the costliest in Malaysia, features a transparent floating catwalk stage backed by stunning lighting system and stage effects that will definitely boost up the excitement of audiences alongside the five members on stage," read a press release from Malaysia Major Events, the government agency which oversees major events in the Southeast Asian country.

The stage alone on which BIGBANG will perform reportedly cost over around $260,000 (approximately RM1million) to produce, is said to be the highest production fee among concerts in Malaysia for 2015.

BIGBANG's concert will also include an entourage of 100 people flying over from the United States and Korea, including globally renowned production members.

BIGBANG are set to perform their two-day Malaysian concerts next weekend at the Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil in the capital of Kuala Lumpur.

The group is currently holding the Singapore leg of their MADE World Tour on July 17 and 18 afterwowing fans in Indonesia the past week on July 11 and 12.
