BIGBANG’s Seungri has released a dance practice video for his new solo track “1, 2, 3!”

On July 22, Seungri shared a new clip that offers a full, uninterrupted view of his dynamic choreography for the song. Not only does he show off his slick dance moves, but he also gets in touch with his playful side, joking around and hamming it up for the camera.

In addition to a talented team of backup dancers, Anda makes an appearance in the video as Seungri’s dance partner. The singer, who recently signed an exclusive contract with a YG Entertainment subsidiary label co-headed by Seungri, also appeared in the music video and comebackstages for the song.

On the latest episode of “My Ugly Duckling,” BIGBANG’s Seungri took the time to pen a handwritten letter to his bandmates.

The July 22 broadcast of the SBS reality show followed Seungri as he prepared for his solo comeback with the album “The Great Seungri.” After a busy day at work, Seungri reminisced about promoting as a full group with the other BIGBANG members during his car ride home.

As the only BIGBANG member not currently serving in the military, Seungri shared that he felt lonely without his bandmates around. When asked what it was like to promote without them, he replied, “It’s lonely, of course. I’m lonely. When I was with the other members, they would say things like, ‘Hey, what should we go eat [after this]?’ and ‘Hey, have you tried that restaurant?’ and ‘Hey, let’s go to such-and-such place!’ throughout our scheduled activities.”

“All five of us would get excited over the smallest things,” he went on. “It was great. Now I have to eat by myself.”

Seungri added, “The other members played lots of pranks on me and joked around a lot. I miss their nagging.”

Later that evening, Seungri went home and wrote a letter to his four bandmates, explaining, “I’m going to address it to ‘the BIGBANG hyungs‘ and just make copies to send around.”

The singer wrote, “Hyungs, it’s me, Seungri. I trust that you’re all healthy and doing well. Right now, while you’re away, I’m doing my best to promote as the face of BIGBANG. Although it’s often difficult and lonely without you, I’m working hard in order to not be an embarrassment to you, and all things considered, I’m doing well. 

“I had a meeting today with the [YG Entertainment] staff, and they say that my brand reputation index is very high… for the first time in 13 years.”

Seungri then shared that he had been receiving a lot of endorsement offers, writing, “Not long ago, I had my first [solo] endorsement photo shoot. It was an Internet advertisement for a dating app. It seems like I’m going to be shooting a commercial for a lodging and accommodations app soon too. I’m also discussing a potential advertisement for an insurance company.”

He jokingly concluded, “Since all of you are unavailable, the endorsements are coming to me instead. Hehehehehehehehehehe. Seungri.”

During the July 22 episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling,” Seungri was eating in the YG Entertainment cafeteria by himself when the members of BLACKPINK approached him to share their meal together.

The atmosphere surrounding the members of BLACKPINK was light and full of laughter, and Seungri remarked, “You guys seem to be really happy around each other. You’re about 1.5 years into your debut, right? Those are good times. I suddenly miss the other [BIGBANG] members.”

Seungri captured the attention of the BLACKPINK members when he offered to share some of the wisdom he’s picked up in his years as a public figure. First, he opened up about how to deal with scandals. He said, “If you wake up one morning and you have hundreds of text messages on your fun, that means a scandal has happened. When that happens, don’t start reading the texts right away, take a drink of water before you start.”

He also added the importance of breathing in and out after every text message. He explained that the more messages you read, the drier your throat gets and you may hold your breath. Seungri shared relatable advice through his own personal experiences in a fun and lighthearted way that had the BLACKPINK members laughing along.

Seungri said, “Sometimes, you might want to talk to a boy, and that’s okay. In order to sing about love, you need to have been in love.” Then he joked, “Just don’t get caught. I’ve gotten caught for everything, but don’t be me.”

He also shared tips about interacting with Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of YG Entertainment. Seungri said, “In the past, Yang Hyun Suk was like a tiger. But after having a kid and starting a family, he’s mellowed out a little.” He added, “Begin your conversation with him with a compliment. He likes it when you say things like, ‘You’ve lost so much weight these days!'” Seungri also swore BLACKPINK to secrecy as he added, “What Yang Hyun Suk likes hearing these days is, ‘Your hair looks so thick these days!'”

Seungri had the members of BLACKPINK laughing with his quick wit and relatable humor as they enjoyed the rest of their lunch together.
