[스포츠조선=조윤선 기자] BIGBANG swept the US Billboard, Japan Oricon, and Korean music charts simultaneously.
Today (21st), BIGBANG’s ‘FLOWER ROAD’ was placed at no. 1 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart. They proved their popularity and influence in the global music market, once again. The song ‘FLOWER ROAD’ is continuing its march at the top. As of today at 10 AM, ‘FLOWER ROAD’ dominated no. 1 spots in 7 major real-time charts in platforms including Melon, Mnet, Naver Music, Olleh, Bugs, Soribada, and Genie. Since the song achieved an ‘all-kill’ as soon as the song was released on the 13th, ‘FLOWER ROAD’ has now maintained its no. 1 spot firmly, for 9 consecutive days

Furthermore, BIGBANG’s LIVE DVD & Blu-ray ‘BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2017 -LAST DANCE-’ released on the 14th, was placed at no. 1 in Japan Oricon’s Weekly DVD Comprehensive Rankings. They proved their popularity in Japan by selling 33,199 copies in the first week of its release. The number of times BIGBANG topped Oricon’s Weekly DVD Comprehensive Rankings rose to a total of 6 times. People are paying keen attention on what kind of milestones BIGBANG will continue to achieve, as they are currently dominating music charts not only in Korea, but also overseas. 2018. 3. 21.
On March 21, photos of BIGBANG’s Taeyang in the military were shared on online communities and social media.

One photo shows Taeyang with a mask on and holding a gun, while the other shows him smiling as he poses for the camera with his fellow military trainees.
Taeyang enlisted on March 12 at the recruit training center of the 6th Infantry Division in Chulwon, Gangwon Province. There, he will receive basic training for five weeks before he receives his military assignment.
Taeyang was the third BIGBANG member to enlist after T.O.P and G-Dragon, followed by Daesung the day after on March 13. He will be discharged from the military in December 2019.

On March 20, Billboard updated its charts for the week ending in March 24. BIGBANG’s “Flower Road” has proved its popularity once again by coming in first on the World Digital Song Sales chart.
This is only the latest in achievements by the song, which has also scored perfect all-kills on the Korean charts, set a new sales record for Korean releases in China, topped iTunes songs charts in many countries throughout the world, and much more.
