BIGBANG’s G-Dragon now holds all the trademark rights to his name!

On July 1, YG Entertainment confirmed reports that the trademark rights to G-Dragon’s stage name had been transferred to the singer, who officially left the agency last year, at no cost.

 “It’s true that we have fully handed over all trademark rights to G-Dragon’s stage name, including ‘G-Dragon’ and ‘GD,’ to G-Dragon,” stated YG Entertainment.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon’s new agency Galaxy Corporation confirmed that same day that he was gearing up to make a comeback before the end of 2024.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has addressed the recent speculation about his comeback.

On August 1, Park Myung Soo generated buzz when he mentioned on his radio show, “I heard G-Dragon is coming back in the month after next.”

Given Park Myung Soo’s close relationship with G-Dragon, stemming from their time together on “Infinite Challenge,” his comment sparked interest with many interpreting it as a potential spoiler for G-Dragon’s October return.

In response, a representative from G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation clarified, “There is no specific timing set for G-Dragon’s comeback yet; it’s not true that it has been finalized for October. Discussions are still ongoing.”

The representative added, “However, as previously announced [that he will make a comeback in the second half of this year], he will indeed release a new album before the year ends.”
