KUALA LUMPUR: South Korea’s biggest K-pop group BIGBANG is heading here in July. The group, comprising G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, will be entertaining fans at its BIGBANG 2015 World Tour (MADE) In Malaysia concert at the Putra Indoor Stadium Bukit Jalil on July 25.The one-night only concert is also held in conjunction with the release of its upcoming album, MADE. The group recently released their new single Loser, which has surpassed 10 million views on YouTube in less than four days.
This will mark the quintet’s second visit to Malaysia. Its first was in 2012 which saw over 15,000 screaming fans attending the concert.
The event is supported by Malaysia Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), an agency of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture.
The popularity of the group is expected to draw a huge number of domestic and international fans. BIGBANG’s world tour covers 15 countries and 70 concerts, which is expected to end next year.
The tour, which will commence after their first stop in Seoul last month, is expected to be a world-class performance, with big names such as LeRoy Bennett and Ed Burke on the production team.
The two producers of the tour have previously worked with superstars like Prince, Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Rihanna, among others.
IME Productions will commence the ticket launch on May 17 at Quill City Mall’s ground floor main court from 11am to 5pm. Each person is entitled to purchase a maximum of eight tickets on any ticket categories.
Online sales will begin on the same day at 5pm via TicketCharge at www.ticketcharge.com.my. Rock Zone A, B and VIP Cat 1 ticket holders are entitled for the “Sound Check Party” lucky draw.
TicketCharge and IME ticketing hotlines will begin on May 18 at 10am. Outlet sales will also start on the same day at TicketCharge office, IME Productions office, Speedy Music Store, Rock Corner music store, Victoria Music Centre and Neway Karaoke outlet.
