BIGBANG’s five dome tour DVD BIGBANG Japan Dome Tour 2014~2015 ‘X’, released on March 25, ranked number one on Oricon’s Daily DVD Total Ranking and Blu-ray Music Ranking charts.
The DVD, which was released in celebration of the group’s fifth anniversary in Japan, holds everything from the five-dome tour, which began in November of 2014 and continued until January of 2015.
As the first foreign artist to hold a dome tour in Japan for two years in a row, BIGBANG presented 15 concerts in five cities, including Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Tokyo, gathering around 740,000 fans total.
The DVD contains 170 minutes of the Tokyo dome concert, which was held on December 26 last year with over 55,000 fans, as well as clips from rehearsals, Kyocera and Osaka dome concerts. The DVD also includes a documentary featuring the members sharing their goals and plans for their future activities. The DVD is complete with highlight moments from each concert, specially edited live performances and multi-angled video clips.
BIGBANG’s tour featured elaborate performances and captivating stage arrangements, backed by world-renowned staff members, including music director Jamie King, the back band led by Gil Smith and more.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG’s 2015 official calendar and welcoming collection DVD released on the same day as the five-dome tour DVD, ranked number two on Oricon’s daily DVD music chart.

BIGBANG’s DVD of their Japan five dome tour took the double crown on Oricon ranking.
‘BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2014~2015 "X"’ DVD created sensation by taking the No.1 place on Oricon’s daily DVD ranking and Blue-ray music ranking, on the day of its release on the 25 this month.The DVD shows all about BIGBANG’s Japan five dome tour that was held from November last year to January this year, to celebrate the fifth anniversary of BIGBANG’s debut.
BIGBANG held Japan dome tour for two consecutive years, for the first time for a foreign artist, starting from Nagoya dome to go on to Kyocera dome in Osaka, Fukuoka Yafuoku dome, Sapporo dome, and Tokyo dome. Total 15 concerts held in five cities drew approximately 740,000 fans, to round off the tour in a great success.
The DVD includes 170-minute-long live video of Tokyo dome concert that drew 55,000 fans on December 26 last year, as well as the rehearsal video and the video of the final concert held in Kyocera dome in Osaka. Plus, a documentary video that shows BIGBANG’s members interview about their resolution for the tour and future plans, is also included in the DVD, along with highlights of each concert of the tour, specially-edited live videos, and multi-angle videos.
The tour caught the eyes of the audience with splendid live performances and overwhelming stage production. Notably, “Jamie King”, one of the most influential figures in the pop-music world, who worked for world-famous artists including Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, etc., collaborated with BIGBANG for their first Japan six dome tour. Furthermore, other world-class staff such as a big band led by “Gil Smith” who participated in the tour of Eminem, Chris Braun, and Lil Wayne, also performed for BIGBANG’s tour.
Meanwhile, along with ‘BIGBANG JAPAN DOME TOUR 2014~2015 "X"’ DVD that took the double crown on Oricon rankings, “2015 BIGBANG Official Calendar, Welcoming Collection DVD” released on the same day, also took the second place on Oricon daily DVD music ranking, to prove BIGBANG’s high popularity in the country once again.
