October Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various idol groups, using big data collected from September 30 to October 29.

BTS topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 6,927,239. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “concert,” “military,” and “ARMY,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “recognize,” “collaborate,” and “sing passionately.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 68.20 percent positive reactions.

aespa took second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 5,122,971, while BLACKPINK came in third with a total score of 4,352,159. Finally, NCT and SEVENTEEN rounded out the top five for October at fourth and fifth places respectively.

On November 2, it was revealed that Jeon Yeo Been, Sung Hoon, Girls’ Generation’s Yuri, and Park Gun Il will be attending the ceremony on December 2.

More actors were announced to join the 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) lineup!

Ryu Kyung Soo, Lee Jun Young, Lee Do Hyun, NCT’s Doyoung, Park Joo Mi, Joo Suk Tae, and Cha Ji Yeon will be attending the event alongside Lee Jung Jae, Lee Seung Gi, Han So Hee, Yoo Ah In, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Moon Ga Young, NU’EST’s Minhyun, Na In WooKim Joo Ryoung and Heo Sung Tae on the actor side. Ryu Kyung Soo became widely recognized through his role as Choi Seung Kwon in “Itaewon Class” and a villain in the film “Hostage: Missing Celebrity.” He will be starring in “Hellbound,” “Glitch” (literal title), and “Jeong Yi” (tentative title).

Lee Jun Young has been developing his career through diverse dramas like “Avengers Social Club,” “Good Casting, “Please Don’t Date Him,” “Imitation,” and “D.P.” His new drama “Let Me Be Your Knight” premieres November.

Following his success in “Sweet Home,” Lee Do Hyun showed his potential as a romance actor through “Youth of May.” He will be returning to the small screen through the romance drama “Melancholia,” also in November.

NCT’s Doyoung made his acting debut via “Cafe Midnight Season 3: The Curious Stalker” this year and even dived into musical acting through “Marie Antoinette.”

Park Joo Mi captured the attention of viewers around the world with her portrayal of the character Sa Pi Young in the hit drama “Love (Ft. Marriage And Divorce).” Joo Suk Tae took on the role of the money-hungry Heo Poong Jin for “Revolutionary Sisters” and the elite Park Won Jong for “Undercover.”

Cha Ji Yeon, who is active in various fields including drama, musical, and film, impressed with her performance as the villain Baek Sung Mi in “Taxi Driver.” She has been cast in the upcoming drama “The Bride of Black.”

The 2021 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) has revealed its next lineup!

On October 23, the upcoming award ceremony officially announced that ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, Moon Ga Young, NU’EST’s Minhyun, and Na In Woo would all be attending this year’s show.

Earlier this year, Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young stole hearts in the hit tvN drama “True Beauty,” which Twitter recently revealed was one of the top three most-mentioned K-dramas of the past three years all over the world. Minhyun made a successful acting debut in this year’s JTBC drama “Live On,” while Na In Woo skyrocketed to stardom through tvN’s “Mr. Queen” and KBS 2TV’s “River Where the Moon Rises.”

The four stars will be joining a lineup of attendees that includes Lee Jung Jae, Lee Seung Gi, Han So Hee, Yoo Ah In, and aespa.
