BIGBANG’s T.O.P has added his support to the growing voices against malicious commenters.

On October 16, T.O.P took to his Instagram story to share a screenshot of someone else’s post. The post shows a person whose face is shrouded in darkness by their hoodie as they lift a finger to their phone, and the caption reads, “Malicious comments are murder. Freedom comes with responsibilities.”

T.O.P joins a growing number of celebrities who have recently spoken out against malicious commenters. Many of the statements have been made following the passing of Sulli on October 14 as celebrities expressed their sorrow at her passing.

The Korea Entertainment Management Association (CEMA) has stated they will take strong action to eradicate cyber bullying, and lawmakers are reportedly proposing a bill to counter malicious comments.

The police have stated their intentions to wrap up the investigation into Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri within this month.

During the regular press conference held with reporters, a source from the police stated, “We have concluded all of our investigation of Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri. We are currently in the process of analyzing everything we have learned through the investigation and the data we secured earlier. We intend to wrap up the case within October.”

When asked whether either Yang Hyun Suk or Seungri have had additional charges made against them, the representative stated, “Due to issues around publication of facts of suspected crime, it is difficult for us to say at this time. We must look over everything.”

In August, both Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri were booked on charges of habitual gambling and violating the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act. The police conducted a search and seizure on the YG Entertainment building due to allegations that funds from the agency were involved in the case. They have called in both Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri in for questioning twice, and are also looking through financial records including exchange transactions for the case.

The police were also asked about the case involving a building owned by BIGBANG’s Daesung, the representative answered, “We are carrying on search and seizures to secure related bank accounts. As the investigation is still ongoing, it is difficult for me to speak on this matter.”

In July, Channel A reported that illegal adult entertainment businesses involving prostitution services were allegedly being operated in a building owned by Daesung. The police is also investigating claims that illegal substances were distributed through the building as well. Daesung denied having any knowledge of illegal activities in his building and announced that he would be taking legal action against these alleged businesses.
