On August 5, Seungri shared his thoughts on holding his first solo concert, “The Great Seungri,” at the Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul.

The singer remarked, “It’s my first solo concert in 13 years as [a member of] BIGBANG. I’ve performed at over 500 concerts and performed for crowds of over tens of thousands of people, but while rehearsing at the Jangchung Gymnasium, I wondered why it felt so large, and I became scared. However, so many people came that my worries disappeared in a flash.”

He added, “There were many unexpected things that happened before this solo concert was officially scheduled, but I wound up being able to hold a solo concert like this in the end. I feel like I’m receiving too much love. Thank you. I hope that you have fun with me until the end.”

Speaking about the pressure of being the last BIGBANG member to enlist in the military, Seungri shared, “To be honest, I had a dream last night before my concert today. I was the starting pitcher at an important baseball game. At the end of the ninth inning with two outs, the umpire handed me the ball, and it felt so heavy.”

He continued, “But I threw the ball, pitched a strike, and led the team to victory. I think it was a dream that describes my current situation. I think it means that, as the only BIGBANG member [currently promoting], I need to do a good job wrapping things up in order for us to win.”

Seungri recently made a solo comeback with the album “The Great Seungri,” featuring the title track “1, 2, 3!” and the sub-title track “Where R U From.”

When asked if they feel any pressure to fill up the empty space that BIGBANG temporarily left due to serving in the military, B.I answered, “Rather than feeling pressure because they’re serving in the army or having the fear of ruining the paths they’ve created, we are making an effort to work hard and not show an embarrassing side of ourselves.”

Concerning BLACKPINK’s success, iKON praised the group, saying, “We think BLACKPINK’s activities are very amazing. We’re not very close to them, but they’re really cool and pretty.”
