[OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT] G-DRAGON Will Participate in Opening Ceremony for ‘GD Café’ in Jeju Island, 2 Days Before Enlistment

[OSEN=김은애 기자] G-DRAGON, who will start his active military duty on the 27th, will open ‘GD Café’ in Jeju Island on February 25.

After taking a break from all official activities after the BIGBANG concert held last year at Gocheok Sky Dome, G-DRAGON stayed in Jeju Island, participating in the interior finishing process of ‘GD Café’ and the bowling alley he’s been working on for the past year.

‘GD Café’ and the bowling alley, located in Jeju Shinhwa World, has a special meaning for G-DRAGON. G-DRAGON has worked hard and participated from the early stages of construction to setting concepts, designs, and even interior. He put in hard work and a lot of affection on the new business locations.

The interior process is currently at the finishing stage, while G-DRAGON is still passionately involved in the process by drawing paintings on the inside walls and decorating with his personal collection items, although he only has a week before he enlists. To grant G-DRAGON’s wish to open the café before enlistment, the staff are also working hard on the finishing process.

The bowling alley that will be located on the next building of ‘GD Café’ is expected to open in March.

The Café and the bowling alley was planned through cooperation between YG Entertainment and Jeju Shinhwa World. The ‘YG Republic Zone’ includes not only ‘GD Café’ and the bowling alley, but also ‘Samgeori Butcher’s Pork Charcuterie’ operated by YG, ‘3 Birds’ that serve brunch, and a buffet that serves seafood originating from Jeju Island.

YG Republic Zone, which is closely located to the large parking lot used to enter Jeju Shinhwa World will become a new tourist attraction for a lot of travelers that will visit Jeju Island in the future.

He explained, “There wasn’t anywhere to hand over the monetary wedding gift at the wedding, so I asked someone, ‘What do I do about this?’ and showed them the envelope. They said, ‘Give it to me’ and took it”
