[스포츠서울=최민지 인턴기자] A photo of BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON and SEUNGRI hugging each other has been gathering attention on ‘Hug Day’. G-DRAGON posted a photo on his Instagram with the caption, “Happy Birthday SEUNGRI”, on December 13. The revealed photo contained G-DRAGON smiling while hugging SEUNGRI. The friendship between the two that lasted over 10 years warmed the viewer’s hearts.The photo of the members hugging each other has been gathering attention again today, as December 14 is known as ‘Hug Day’. ‘Hug Day’ is a day to hug the people with a warm heart. It’s not only for lovers, but for everyone, with the purpose of lessening the burden of life and inner wounds for the people around us.  Meanwhile, BIGBANG is planning to hold ‘BIGBANG 2017 CONCERT LAST DANCE IN SEOUL’ during December 30 and 31 in Seoul Gocheok Sky Dome. 2017. 12. 14.

BIGBANG member Seungri celebrated his birthday on December 12.

On the day of, YG’s Yang Hyun Suk wished Seungri a happy birthday with an affectionate Instagram post on the day of his birthday.

However, Seungri revealed a different collage of photos on Instagram, that showed him next to Yang Hyun Suk, in front of a birthday cake, and crying. In the caption, Seungri explained, “CEO [Yang] called me to say he was going to buy me dinner, but he prepared a surprise birthday party…I began to cry before I knew it. This was the first time he prepared a birthday party for me in 12 years. Thank you….”

Seungri also gave back to the community on his birthday by donating 100 million won (approximately $92,000) to the Green Umbrella ChildFund in Korea and hand-delivered coal briquettes to those in need.
