Taeyang, NCT Dream, Sunmi, And PRISTIN’s Releases Rank High On Billboard’s World Charts
BIGBANG’s Taeyang continues his reign over Billboard’s World Albums chart for the second week in a row!
On August 29, Billboard released their weekly charts for the week ending in September 9. On the World Albums chart, Taeyang sits at No. 1 once again with his album “White Night,” which made its debut in the top spot last week. The album is also at No. 18 on the Heatseekers Albums chart, and No. 42 on the Independent Albums chart.
NCT Dream’s new mini album “We Young” (featuring the title track of the same name) has made its debut on the World Albums chart at No. 3.
Coming in at No. 5 is PRISTIN’s new mini album “Schxxl Out,” which includes the title track “We Like.”
EXO’s “The War” remains on the chart at No. 7, G-Dragon’s “Kwon Ji Yong” spends its eleventh week on the chart now at No. 13, and Wanna One’s debut mini album “1×1=1 (To Be One)” has come in at No. 14 this week.
Meanwhile, Sunmi’s new hit track “Gashina” has made its debut at No. 3 on the World Digital Song Sales chart.

G-Dragon Doesn’t Hold Back While Revealing What He Knows As Taeyang’s “Only Friend”
BIGBANG’s Taeyang recently appeared on the August 28 episode of MBC’s “Oppa’s Thoughts” to promote his solo comeback album.
During the show, they played a VCR on the screen saying a close confidant of Taeyang was here to expose him. This secret confidant refuted Taeyang’s claims that he never gets drunk and said he has seen him drunk many times, joking that the singer’s drunk habit was trying to convince people he was funny. He also said that Taeyang doesn’t have many friends and said, “I think I’m his only friend.”
The person was revealed to be none other than G-Dragon, and Taeyang lit up when he saw his best friend’s face on the screen. Then, G-Dragon continued the interview to give words of support to Taeyang.
G-Dragon began, “Taeyang is a friend that’s like an older brother. It looked like he got really stressed while preparing for this solo album, but as his friend, I’m happy that he is satisfied with the final product. I sincerely wish for his success.”
Taeyang later talked about how he became friends with G-Dragon when he was 13 years old and has spent half of his life with him.
