These hints may be proof enough of Seungri’s solo comeback



Seungri may be the first BIGBANG member to return as a solo artist this year as hints of his album preparations were posted online. 
Speculations of a comeback heightened when producer DEE.P of Future Bounce posted a photo of Seungri in the recording studio. DEE.P is a producer and songwriter for YG Entertainment. He has created tracks for artists such as iKON, BIGBANG, and G-Dragon.

The simple update from DEE.P confirmed previous speculations of Seungri’s possible return to the music industry. Two weeks ago, speculations began when Seungri met with composer Lee Kyungjoon. Lee Kyungjoon simply responded with a photo of their team together with the caption, “work work work”.

The two pieces of evidence posted on their respective Instagram accounts seem to confirm speculations about Seungri’s comeback. In fact, the speculations have become so widely talked about that the have made “Seungri Solo” trend in South Korea.
Seungri last promoted as a solo artist with the release of Let’s Talk About Love back in 2013.

BIGBANG, BTS, 2PM, iKON, And More Win Awards At The Japan Gold Disc Awards

BIGBANG, BTS, 2PM, iKON, and N.Flying won awards at the prestigious Japan Gold Disc Awards.

BIGBANG took the Best Asian Artist, Album of the Year (“Made Series”), Best 3 Albums (“Made Series”), Song of the Year by Download (“Bang Bang Bang”), and Best Music Video (“Made” World Tour DVD) awards, resulting in an outstanding total of five awards. They expressed, “We are honored to receive such meaningful awards. We will continue to do our best to return the love.”

BTS and 2PM also received the Best 3 Albums award alongside BIGBANG, with Japanese albums “Youth” and “Galaxy of 2PM” respectively.

iKON, who won New Artist of the Year and Best 3 New Artists, said, “We are very happy that we got the new artist awards, as this is the only chance we have to receive them. Thank you for cheering us on, and we will work even harder this year.”

N.Flying also won the Best 3 New Artists award along with iKON.

Japan Gold Disc Awards is an esteemed music awards held by the Japan Record Association.
It aims to recognize artists who have contributed to the development of the music industry, and winners are determined through the past year’s music and video sales. There is no actual ceremony to be attended by the artists.
