Several members of the Kpop idol group BIGBANG are set to begin their mandatory military service in the coming months. Ahead of T.O.P.’s enlistment, the musician revealed some interesting details about his friendship with G-Dragon.

Some of BIGBANG’s secrets, as well as the members’ camaraderie, were unveiled in the recent episode of the MBC show “Weekly Idol.” Aired on Feb. 8, Wednesday, the show released never-before-seen footage from the K-pop group’s earlier appearance that included a talk segment and other interesting scenes.

T.O.P.’s revelation about his friendship with G-Dragon caught the attention of many viewers especially when the art aficionado hinted at an incident where he became upset with the BIGBANG leader. Declining to divulge details, T.O.P. shared that he refrained from approaching G-Dragon about his relationship problems since then, Koreaboo reported.

It appears that T.O.P. previously consulted G-Dragon about his love life and even asked the BIGBANG leader for advice. However, he stopped when he discovered that his bandmate mentioned his relationship problems to another person and shared his secret.

Despite what seems to be a sensitive subject between the two Kpop idols, G-Dragon and T.O.P. remained friends after the said incident. Daesung even joked about G-Dragon’s chatty behavior and teased how the BIGBANG leader would be a perfect candidate to host a radio show.

In other news, T.O.P. is set to start his mandatory military service on Feb. 9, Thursday. However, the musician and art lover will enter the military without any fanfare or special events, according to a recent YG Entertainment announcement, as obtained by Korea Herald.

Meanwhile, prior to the said BIGBANG member’s enlistment, G-Dragon took to Instagram to share his sadness over his bandmate’s nearly two-year hiatus. G-Dragon uploaded a photo of himself with T.O.P. inside what appears to be a salon.

Holding on to T.O.P.’s arm tightly, the BIGBANG leader leaned his forehead against the musician’s chest as he tried to hide his face. G-Dragon even used a teary-faced emoji in his social media post and simply wrote, “Hyung,” which means older brother.

BIGBANG’s T.O.P. Quietly Leaves For The Military With New Haircut

T.O.P. got what he wanted when he left Thursday for his military enlistment without any fanfare.

Fans have long been eager to find out if they can greet farewell to the 29-year-old rapper-actor but T.O.P. expressly shared his desire to take off without any fuss or media attention.

“I really want to leave quietly today,” all K-pop quoted T.O.P. as saying to a post with an accompanying screenshot of his enlistment report that was later removed from his account.

“Please understand even if I leave without any greetings. I’m sorry,” he added.

The oldest BIGBANG member and consequently the first in the group to take on his mandatory military duty also didn’t want to see even his four bandmates.

“I miss my dongsengs, I’m not going to m before enlisting because I’ll miss them too much :P” wrote T.O.P. on Tuesday.

G-Dragon and Taeyang responded to the post and even wrote in the comment section as they begged to see him one last time.

G-Dragon eventually caught T.O.P. just in time before the latter took off and even captured their final moments together in a photo.

T.O.P. updated fans with his last night before enlistment. His Instagram photos captured him having a splendid time by having dinner with his mom and enjoying a good bottle of wine and fine dining.

“Good bye Seoul,” he captioned two-series photos of him smoking.

T.O.P. sported his new military cut and called it “Spock” which could be a reference to the fictional Star Trek character Spock the First Officer of the Starship Enterprise spacecraft.

BIGBANG’s main rapper will be away from the limelight for at least 21 months so his latest posts emphasized just how much time can make someone forget or remember.

His fans promised to wait for his comeback.

“We won’t forget you..you are printed in our heart and you will remain there for forever..VIP for life #BIGBANG#TOP TC Rock your service praying for good health
