BIGBANG to Tour in China and Meet 180,000 Fans in 8 Cities

  

[일간스포츠=엄동진 기자] BIGBANG will meet their fans in China by holding a tour in March.
BIGBANG’s China Tour is titled “2016 BIGBANG MADE [V.I.P] TOUR”, and they will hold concerts in eight cities to meet 182,000 fans. They will kick off the tour by holding a fan meeting at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai on March 11-12. Afterwards, they will go to Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Hefei, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Changsha, and Nanjing.
BIGBANG decided to hold this tour to thank the Chinese fans for their huge response during “BIGBANG 2015 WORLD TOUR [MADE]”. Earlier on, BIGBANG became the first K-pop artist to successfully finish a tour that comprised of holding concerts in eleven Chinese cities. As much as 180,000 people came to ir concerts.
BIGBANG has made a lot of preparations for this tour so that the fans can see a new side of them. They will have talk sessions, play games, and hold special events for their fans.
Currently, BIGBANG is touring in Japan for their “BIGBANG 2015 World Tour ~2016[MADE] IN JAPAN”. They will round off their tour by performing at the Fukuoka Yafuoku! Dome on February 6-7 and at the Tokyo Dome on February 23-24.

BIGBANG has held tours not only in Asian countries such as China and Japan but also in North America and Oceania. They have held concerts in 32 cities in 13 countries, drawing 1.5 million people. They will hold concerts at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium on March 4-6 as a finale to their world tour.
Competition to get the tickets to BIGBANG’s Seoul concerts was fierce. The tickets were first sold on February 2, and within 10 minutes all the tickets were sold. On the second round next day, it only took six minutes for the tickets to be sold out, and on the day after, six minutes, demonstrating BIGBANG’s astonishing ticket power.

[Look@Japan] BIGBANG Tops Japan’s Charts, Rekindling the Korean Wave in Japan

K-pop has been on a decline in Japan due to sour Korea-Japan relations and anti-Korean sentiments and actions such as hate speeches. However, it seems K-pop is regaining its popularity.
BIGBANG is spearheading the trend. They are currently huge in Japan. Even celebrities have professed that they are huge fans of BIGBANG.
This new trend is reflected in the singles and album charts of Asahi TV’s Music Station, the most popular music show in Japan. BIGBANG appeared on the show for the first time in three and a half years on February 5.
Korean musicians took the top three spot of the Music Station’s albums chart that was announced on February 6. BIGBANG’s “MADE SERIES” was no.1 followed by Supernova Sungmo’s “THE FUTURE WITH U” and GOT7’s “Around The World” at no.2 and no.3, respectively.
BIGBANG’s album is also no.1 on the Oricon charts with Supernova Sungmo and GOT7 fighting for the second place.
According to SoundScan, BIGBANG’s album is currently the most selling album in Japan followed by GOT7 and Supernova Sungmo’s album.
Korean musicians are dominating the music charts and the album sales in Japan, a sign that K-pop is making a comeback in Japan after its slump.
