BIGBANG, who won the Artist of the Year Award at the 2015 MAMA, against EXO, Zion.T, SHINee, and Girls’ Generation, had some interesting things to say during their speech.

Taeyang said, “It might be difficult for all five of us to be at a MAMA awards ceremony for a while. It has been an honor to be able to showcase the stages that we want through MAMA, and thank you for the award.” It seems that he may have been hinting at the fact that many BIGBANG members are approaching the deadlines for serving their mandatory military service.

Taeyang also added, “It is really too bad that not that many artists are here. I had hoped that MAMA would be more festive than this until the end,” showing his disappointment with singers having left early.

BIGBANG won many prizes including the grand prize “Artist of the Year” at the 2015 MAMA. Unfortunately, their special moment was bittersweet as most of the celebrities in the audience were not present on the stage to congratulate them. In fact, many celebrities left to go to their dressing rooms before PSY’s closing performance ended.

This fact did not go unnoticed and Taeyang commented on this during BIGBANG’s acceptance speech. He said, “It’s disappointing that many singers did not stay to congratulate us on receiving this award. It’s too bad because it would have been nice to have an exciting celebration. I hope we can bring you a more amazing performance next year.”

However, PSY and MONSTA X stayed behind to congratulate BIGBANG. Despite not being from the same agency, MONSTA X showed their seniors respect by not leaving early and congratulating BIGBANG sincerely.

Seungri posted a photo of the group and thanked MONSTA X personally.
