Korean netizens said that renewing their contract with YG Entertainment will be a good choice since BIGBANG has many overseas schedules next year for their world tour. Plus, the members will enter the military from 2016 to 2019, meaning that a there could be a period of years without a full group comeback. They say it would be difficult for a different company to handle these situations, as opposed to YGE.

The article followed increased rumors circulating about the popular boy band, who would become free agents. if they did not renew their contracts with YG. However, the specific terms of their agreements, including the expiration dates of the contracts for each member, have yet to be confirmed by the agency.

According to the article, most artists begin to negotiate the terms of their agreements up to six months before the contract expires. This provides agencies and other companies who are associated with the acts, such as endorsements, adequate time to prepare for any adjustments.
