BIGBANG’s “Sober” also topped “The Music Trend,” winning a triple crown without TV appearance

[????=??? ??] BIGBANG, consisting of five members, G-Dragon, T.O.P, Taeyang, Daesung and Seungri, once again, topped a music chart program with its new release in July.

“The Music Trend,” a live K-Pop chart show broadcast by SBS, was aired from the SBS Open Hall in Deungchon-dong, Seoul on 12th, where the boy band shot to No. 1 with “Sober” which is from the third single “D” of the “MADE” series released on 1st.

The song also rose to the top at cable channel Mnet’s “M Countdown” on 9th and MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on 11th. Sweeping all of the three music chart shows both on terrestrial and cable channels, the group displayed its powerful popularity.

Continuing a world tour in Bangkok, Thailand on 11th and 12th, they could not join “M Countdown” and “Show! Music Core” followed by “The Music Trend.”

The lineup of “The Music Trend” included GIRL’S GENERATION, SISTAR, GIRL’S DAY, AOA, BTOB, CHAE YEON, TEEN TOP, MAMAMOO, NS YOON-G, SEVENTEEN, MELODY DAY, MINX, SONG HAYE, POTEN, A.KOR BLACK, HALO, PLAYBACK, and SWEET REVENGE.

[OSEN=??? ??] BIGBANG topped “Show! Music Core,” a weekly music chart show on MBC, with their new release in July, “Sober.”

BIGBANG’s new release, “Sober,” shot to No. 1 on the show aired on 11th.

After a neck to neck competition with BTOB and SISTAR, BIGBANG rose to the top at the show. BTOB turned out the second runner-up followed by SISTAR.

The feat was even more meaningful as BIGBANG’s performance has never gone on air yet. The band had also topped cable channel Mnet’s “M Countdown” aired on 9th without any TV performance.

“Sober” soared to No. 1 on major real-time downloads charts as soon as it had been released on 1st and the number of viewers of its music video on YouTube, which has surpassed a 7 million mark, testifies to the popularity of the new song.

On the day, “Show! Music Core” featured GIRL’S GENERATION, TEEN TOP, SISTAR, BTOB, GIRL’S DAY, AOA, NINE MUSES, NS YOON-G, MAMAMOO, MELODY DAY, HONG DAE-KWANG, POTEN, MINX, DICKPUNKS, HOTSHOT, and SUNGEUN.
