BIGBANG Releases MADE: How To Listen To K-Pop Band’s New Album, Watch Latest Music Videos

K-pop band BIGBANG released its third Korean studio album and fifth Japanese studio album, MADE, on Monday, almost 10 years after the group got together.

The full album marked BIGBANG’s comeback following a three-year hiatus and their first Korean studio album in eight years. On Feb. 3, the album was released provisionally in Japan, under the name Made Series, and included eight original singles along with Japanese versions of “Loser,” “Bang Bang Bang” and “If You.”

The group also released music videos for “Last Dance” and “Fxxk It.” Watch the videos below:

The group had an eventful 2016, with BIGBANG being chosen as ‘creative icons’ for South Korea’s new Creative Korea slogan, and their film “BIGBANG MADE” garnering over 10 million views in under 18 hours in China. The group also featured on Forbes’ world’s highest paid celebrities list for 2016, becoming the first Korean act to do so.

With MADE’s release, BIGBANG is already giving major competition to BTS — which have the highest-charting and best-selling K-pop album in the U.S. at the moment.

MADE is expected to be their last venture together before the members of BIGBANG enlist themselves in the army, because of South Korea’s conscription policy, making it extra special for all their fans across the world.

The latest addition to the BIGBANG songs makes fans speculate it’s the last of the popular K-Pop group. Now that three of its members are nearing the age of 30, which means they have to serve in the military for two years, VIP (BIGBANG fans) are clinging for hope that BIGBANG will not disband like 2NE1 did. Is the Last Dance really the group’s last?

It was in August this year when BIGBANG member G-Dragon said he fears the end is near for their group. That’s because he’s up for the mandatory military service, which would take him away from the limelight for two years. But disbandment seems not to be in the horizon.

The popular K-Pop group recently released their single Last Dance, which is part of the MADE album they’re going to launch before the year ends. The new song also came with a music video and it has over 12 million views in less than 13 hours. This only proves that BIGBANG is still a hot commodity among their fans.

That in itself is the very reason why they’re not breaking up. According to The Inquisitr, YG Entertainment strategically placed the promotions for BIGBANG’s 2016 comeback. They’re making true to their promise that BIGBANG will make it one and only comeback in 2016. It would seem like the VIP will have an earlier Christmas present.

During a recent segment of V where BIGBANG members get to answer fan questions, one fan asked, “The word ‘last’ in ‘Last Dance’ is so sad. Is it really the last?”

As reported by All K Pop, the members replied, “Everyone could interpret it differently… ‘Last’ in ‘Last Dance’ doesn’t mean it’s ‘the end.’ We contained a meaning of recalling the best moments.”

That means BIGBANG is staying for good.

The new BIGBANG songs Last Dance and FXXK IT are two of the three new songs included in the MADE album. Another song called Girlfriend is also going to be part of the album although the reports aren’t clear if it’s its official title.

The rest of the songs on the album were singles released by the group in the past. These includes include Let’s Not Fall in Love, Loser, Bae Bae, Bang Bang Bang, Sober, If You, Zutter, and We Like 2 Party.

That’s a hot list fans can definitely enjoy over the Holidays. Thanks to the BIGBANG songs on the album MADE, VIP can definitely have something exciting to look forward to.

2015 may have belonged to BIGBANG, but the Korean boy band kept quiet throughout most of 2016. The quintet waited until year-end lists were in full swing before releasing their newest music, to complete last year’s MADE project album with the addition of three new songs: “Fxxk It,” “Girlfriend,” and the aptly-titled “Last Dance.”

The trio of songs dropped on Dec. 12, and brought MADE to a close on a sentimental note. Quirky mid-tempo “Fxxk It” and the melancholic “Last Dance” serve as singles, while “Girlfriend” — the only non-single track released off of MADE — is a mellow hip-hop throwback to the group’s early days. BIGBANG’s first studio album since 2008, MADE serves as a sendoff for member T.O.P, who will become the first member to enlist in South Korea’s mandatory military service in Feb., severing the quintet for years to come.

“Fxxk It,” co-written by G-Dragon and T.O.P, pulls heavily on BIGBANG’s international appeal and begins with Taeyang’s English-language lovelorn verse. The song quickly morphs into an electronic hip-hop track that blends an eclectic mix of horns, synths, and tropical beats, recalling the subtle chaos of last year’s “Bae Bae.” The swaggering title utilizes profanity atypical of Korea’s highly-censored entertainment industry, reflecting the band’s status in 2016: without any musical releases earlier this year BIGBANG came in at No.13 on Forbes’ list of highest paid celebrities under 30, surpassing artists including Ed Sheeran and Drake. Saying “Fxxk It” to everything is just natural for BIGBANG at this point of their lofty career.

In contrast, “Last Dance” is an evocative pop-rock ballad that serves as an ode to the band’s time together, promising “I will return to you.” The poignant rap from T.O.P at the song’s climax is accompanied by a sample of cheering fans, incorporating BIGBANG’s fans into their farewell for the foreseeable future. The accompanying music video carries the theme and ends with T.O.P smiling through tears before joining the rest of BIGBANG. Like the other songs on MADE, “Last Dance” was co-written by several members and is one of two songs on MADE (the other is “If You”) not to be produced by YG Entertainment’s in-house producer Teddy Park.

Over the past decade together, BIGBANG shaped the Korean music industry through the unique musicality of their party bangers and poignant balladry, a balancing act that’s enabled the boy band to surpass international boundaries and shirk off the limitations of K-pop’s youth-focused industry. The three songs and the album rose to the top of the iTunes K-pop chart shortly after their release as fans worldwide sought comfort in this last hurrah before the group’s impending separation.
