Starting from “MADE” series’s last album “E” released in early this month to the album of the songs of the music festival of MBC’s “The Infinite Challenge” for which the second round of reservation sale will begin on the 2, BIGBANG is seeing very enthusiastic responses from the public. Even though BIGBANG is an idol group who celebrates their ninth anniversary of debut this year, the team is still “super influential”.
BIGBANG’s new song “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE” released on the 5 this year, is in the No.1 place on the real-time chart of five major music-streaming websites including Korea’s biggest Melon, Genie, Soribada, Bugs, and NAVER Music, as of August 11 at 11am.
For this summer, girl groups were expected to sweep the music scene, as a lot of them had plan for comeback for this season. It is true that SISTAR, Girls’ Generation, and A-PINK achieved success to some extent. However, the one who actually led the whole music scene in this summer season was BIGBANG who has released the albums of “MADE SERIES” one by one since this May.
BIGBANG has released total eight songs this year, two songs every month from May to August. The songs including “LOSER”, “BAE BAE”, “BANG BANG BANG”, “IF YOU”, “SOBER”, “ZUTTER”, “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE” have enjoyed a big popularity from many people during the entire summer season, regardless of when they were released.
Of course, there have been some unexpected twists. As MBC’s variety show began its music festival, new-face musicians came under a new spotlight and took high rankings on charts. Notably, band Hyuk Oh and singer Zion.T remarkably stood out. They showed big influence for a month from early July when the broadcasting of the music festival of “The Infinite Challenge” began. Meanwhile, the second reservation sale of the album of the “2015 Infinite Challenge Yeongdong Highway Music Festival” which also includes BIGBANG’s song will begin on the 17. The album of the fifth “Infinite Challenge Music Festival” will have the songs to be sung by six teams – Yoo Jae-Suk & JYP, Park Myung-Soo & IU, Jung Joon-Ha & Yoon Sang, Jung Hyung-Don & Hyuk Oh band, Haha & Zion.T, and Hwang Kwanghee & GDxTAEYANG – on the 13 in PyeongChang, Gangwon Province. The delivery of the record will start on the 24.
