BIGBANG’s G-Dragon’s agency has issued a formal apology for the delay in his concert start time.

On March 29, approximately 5 hours before G-Dragon’s first “Übermensch” concert was scheduled to take place at Goyang Stadium at 6:30 p.m. KST, Coupang Play announced that the show would be starting 30 minutes late due to worsening weather conditions.

However, the concert ultimately ended up starting at 7:43 p.m. KST, 73 minutes after it was originally scheduled to begin. As the show was held in an outdoor stadium, many concertgoers expressed anger and frustration at the unexpected delay, with some criticizing the fact that G-Dragon did not personally address or apologize for the delay when he finally took the stage.

On the morning of March 30, G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation released the following statement:

Hello. This is Galaxy Corporation.

We are making a statement regarding the “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN KOREA, presented by Coupang Play” concert that was held on March 29. Due to worsening weather conditions (severe winds), the concert was delayed once for safety reasons, and then as an extension of this [original delay], the concert was delayed yet again.

This was due to the bad weather conditions before the concert, such as the subzero temperature and chill, the snow and windy rain that suddenly began falling in the morning, and the severe winds that followed starting in the afternoon. G-Dragon kept an eye on the weather and the cold at the venue all day, from his 2 p.m. soundcheck that day to his rehearsal [before the show].

However, in spite of that, [the delays in the concert’s start time] were a measure taken for safety reasons, out of concern that using the stage equipment might endanger the audience. Just as we stated in our apology at the concert venue, we would once again like to thank and apologize to the fans who waited for the concert to start for a long time in the cold.

G-Dragon will be holding his second “Übermensch” show at Goyang Stadium on March 30 at 6:30 p.m. KST.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has won a 10th music show trophy—and a second triple crown—for his hit song “TOO BAD” featuring Anderson .Paak!

On the March 29 episode of MBC’s “Music Core,” the candidates for first place were THE BOYZ’s “VVV,” BLACKPINK’s Jennie’s “like JENNIE,” and G-Dragon’s “TOO BAD.” G-Dragon ultimately took the win with a total of 6,893 points.

This is the third time that “TOO BAD” has taken first place on “Music Core,” meaning that the song has now achieved a “triple crown”!

The Korean Business Research Institute has published its brand reputation rankings for all stars during the month of March!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of various stars’ media coverage, consumer participation, interaction, and community awareness indexes, using big data collected from February 28 to March 29.

IVE held onto their spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 7,376,660 for March.

BTS came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 7,200,106, marking a 25.95 percent increase in their score since last month.

Lim Young Woong maintained his position at third place with a brand reputation index of 6,944,819, while BLACKPINK held steady at fourth with a score of 6,612,870.

Finally, BIGBANG shot to fifth place after seeing a 79.86 percent increase in their brand reputation index, bringing their total score for March to 6,199,870.

IU and G-Dragon shared a long-awaited reunion on “IU’s Palette”!

On the latest episode of IU’s music talk show “IU’s Palette,” G-Dragon made a rare guest appearance, marking a meaningful moment for both artists and their fans.

At the start of the episode, IU expressed surprise when she heard that G-Dragon had mentioned feeling awkward around her in a pre-interview. However, G-Dragon quickly clarified, “I don’t [feel awkward around you]! Haven’t we gotten a lot closer than before?” The two then reminisced about meeting at IU’s concert last year—their first meeting in seven years—where they surprisingly felt at ease despite the long time gap. IU reflected, “Maybe it’s the kind of comfort that comes from growing older together?” to which G-Dragon responded, “I guess it’s that unspoken inner bond.”

Naturally, the conversation turned to their iconic 2017 collaboration “Palette.” IU revealed that she had requested they perform the song together, knowing that fans had been eagerly waiting for it. She then surprised viewers by revealing, “And I heard you even rewrote the lyrics to make a 2025 version!” G-Dragon explained his thought process behind the update, recalling IU’s original vision for the song: “At the time, when you were making the song, you said you wanted to leave certain songs for certain ages. Back then, we were thirty and twenty-five. We sang it at a very pretty age. But now…,” as he laughed and continued, “So I thought a lot about what to say [in the new lyrics.]”
