Daesung Successfully Completes Solo Japanese Tour and Promises to Return with BIGBANG
BIGBANG's Daesung has successfully completed his Japanese solo arena tour and encore concerts.
Holding concerts in Tokyo on January 31 and February 1, as well as at the Osaka Jo Hall on February 10 and 11, Daesung met with local fans with a new show, singing his latest songs from his first original album D's Love at his encore tour.
Beginning with a jam session in the opening, Daesung joined the band with drums, heating up the crowd. The concert started with Shut Up, smoothly leading into Rainy Rainy, Dress, and Omoi Tsunotte, capturing the fans with three ballads.
"It's not a sad thing that it's the final day. It's a happy day! Because I was able to meet you all. Thank you for calling me out!" said Daesung, as he showcased special dances for Futari? Hitori! and Samete, Nemure.
With fog gently setting down on the stage, Daesung powerfully belted out Utautai No Ballad and Baby Don't Cry, which was especially rearranged for the encore tour.
Daesung spent a cozy time with fans, telling them to make 'powerful turns' if they wanted to change the mood when something unpleasant happened. Especially at the end of the tour, Daesung stated, "I'll return with good music with BIGBANG."
With the fans' support at the end of the concert, Daesung returned to perform Konya wa Boogie Back, even showing fans his rap skills while wearing sunglasses. He told fans, "Like the other times, I'll sing with you for four hours today too!" He then performed six songs total for the extra encore performances.
After the encore stages were done, Daesung reminisced of his solo activities in Japan as the band began to play Mirai Yosozu II. As a special event, fans put up placards that were written in Korean, "We are always by Daesung's side!"
"Thank you for being my wings. Everyone who came to the concert are the main characters of my live performances. Let's sing live again!" said Daesung as he wrapped up the concert.
After confirming his place as a solo artist in Japan through his arena tour, Daesung will return with BIGBANG after three years.

DAESUNG, a member of the Korean boy group BIGBANG, successfully hosted the Encore Concert, following his Solo Arena Tour in Japan last year.
Performing on Jan. 31st and Feb. 1st in Tokyo, DAESUNG hosted a concert on Feb. 10th and 11th at Osaka-jo Hall, where he presented a new repertoire, adding a new song from his first original album ‘D’slove.’
At the beginning of the opening session, DAESUNG participated in a band jam, where he played the drum. He began his live performance with his song ‘SHUT UP,’ followed by three ballad songs, namely ‘RAINYY RAINY,’ ‘DRESS,’ and ‘OMOI TSUNOTTE.’
“It’s the last day of my concert but I’m not sad,” said DAESUNG, saying thank you to his fans. “Actually, I’m very happy to be here. I’m grateful to see you. Thank you for allowing me to perform in front of you!” He also performed ‘FUTARI? HITORI!!’ and ‘SAMETE NEMURE’ with special dances.
DAESUNG demonstrated his exquisite falsettos and powerful and expressive presence on a foggy, dream-like stage, where he performed ‘UTAIUTAI NO BALLAD’ and “BABY DON’T CRY,’ which he newly arranged for this concert.
At the end of his concert, he had a good time with his fans, sharing with them what he does when he feels down or wants to cheer up. And the fans were excited to hear DAESUNG saying, “I’ll be back with better songs and performances as a member of BIGBANG later.”
After his repertoire of the concert, he sang ‘KONYA WA BOOGIE BACK,’ wearing sunglasses and performing raps – a rare combination for him. And as he promised during the concert, saying “I’ll sing for four hours today, just like the last time,” he performed as many as six encore songs.
Even after the end of his encore songs, the band played ‘MIRAI YOZOSU II’ while the video of DAESUNG’s soloist performances in Japan for the last two years was played. The fans sang along, and presented a Korean message card for DAESUNG that read ‘We are always with DAESUNG!’
“Thank you for loving my songs!” said DAESUNG, wrapping up his solo concert in Japan. “All of you here today are the heroes of my live performance. Let’s have fun once again later!”
Establishing himself as a soloist in Japan – as demonstrated by this Arena Tour –, DAESUNG will soon make his comeback as a member of BIGBANG, which has not been active for 3 years.
