With the recent car accident that involved BIGBANG’s Seungri, YG Entertainment has reassured fans that the artist is still being treated at the hospital for minor injuries and that the investigation of the crash has not yet begun.
On the 23rd, Seungri’s agency made a statement regarding the star’s current health condition. “It seems that Seungri’s condition has gotten much better, however, he is still being hospitalized,” announced a YG representative.
It was also revealed by a Seoul Yongsan Police official on the 22nd that, “The investigation on Seungri’s car accident has not yet begun. Due to (Seungri) still being in the hospital, the plans for an investigation have been postponed.”
In regard to this, YG Entertainment confirmed, “What the officials have said regarding Seungri’s investigation is true.”
On the 12th, BIGBANG’s Seungri was involved in a 2-car collision where his Porsche collided with a Mecedes-Benz carrying two passengers and hit the middle road guardrail, resulting in an overturn. The idol was then hospitalized due to a slight hemorrhaging of the liver and has since been getting treated for recovery.
Although both the officials and YG Entertainment have confirmed that Seungri was not driving under the influence of alcohol, many netizens have begun questioning the cause of the accident. Some say that the star was probably drunk driving and other are stating that it may have just been an issue with speeding.
A car accident specialist presumed that the collision was due to falling asleep behind the wheel on Seungri’s part.
