Instagram has announced its results for the 2018 Instagram Awards!

The social media platform awarded winners in six categories: Most Loved Account, Top 10 Accounts, Account With Most Growth, Top Boy Group, Top Girl Group, and Photo With Most Likes.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie was chosen as the Most Loved Account of 2018, based on the number of views and likes received by Instagram Stories and posts that were shared this year. The other BLACKPINK members were also nominated for this category.

Representing her group, Jennie stated, “I’m always thankful that [fans] are interested in my Instagram. Please keep an eye out for my Instagram, as I will be sharing more memories.”

The winners of the Top 10 Accounts category were chosen based on the amount of followers. BIGBANG’s G-Dragon took No. 1, while EXO’s Chanyeol and Sehun placed second and third, respectively. Here is a list of all 10 winners:

G-Dragon has been the celebrity with the greatest amount of Instagram followers in Korea since 2014.

Lee Jong Suk also shared his thoughts on being chosen as No. 5 in this category. He revealed, “Because I wasn’t able to participate in many activities outside my projects, Instagram was a great way to communicate with Korean and international fans. Because this is an award that each and every single fan contributed to, I am even more thankful.”

Kim So Hyun won the award for Account With Most Growth, based on the increase in followers and how much the account utilized Instagram features such as Stories and live broadcasts.

BTS won the Top Boy Group category while BLACKPINK was chosen as Instagram’s Top Girl Group. Official accounts run by the group’s agencies with the most followers qualified for this category.

In response to being chosen as the Top Girl Group, BLACKPINK responded, “We’re so thankful for everyone who follows and loves BLACKPINK’s account. We will share more good news and content with everyone next year as well.”

For the Photo With Most Likes category, BTS’s post below took the win. The photo was taken in May at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs) and has accumulated 3.2 million likes.

BTS’s fandom (ARMY) was also crowned the Top Fandom Community on Instagram’s Year In Review blog post.

BIGBANG’s Seungri has made a meaningful donation to help people with Lou Gehrig’s disease!

According to the Seungil Hope Foundation, Seungri recently made a donation of 100 million won (approximately $88,610). The foundation is currently accepting donations to help fund Korea’s first hospital dedicated to treating Lou Gehrig’s disease. Earlier this month, Seungri also celebrated his birthday by donating and volunteering.

Seungri stated, “The ice bucket challenge helped me learn more about Lou Gehrig’s disease. Making this donation to help build the hospital has been a very meaningful experience for me. I hope that more people will continue to send their support for people with Lou Gehrig’s disease, and I hope that the hospital will be built soon. I will always be supporting people with Lou Gehrig’s disease.”

WINNER’s Kang Seung Yoon, Seungri’s labelmate at YG Entertainment, also donated to the foundation recently. His donation will also be used to fund the cost of opening a new hospital.

Jinusean’s Sean, who heads the Seungil Hope Foundation, stated, “I am so proud and grateful to see my juniors giving back and being positive influences on society in their own ways. We are so grateful to receive such donations and we feel the warmth they have for people with Lou Gehrig’s disease and their families. We will continue to do our best to bring hope to people with the disease.”
