Han Hyeri Cries After Evaluation By BIGBANG’s Seungri For “MIXNINE”

“MIXNINE” has aired a preview ahead of its third episode on Sunday, including an audition by “Produce 101” contestant Han Hyeri.

Han Hyeri was evaluated by BIGBANG’s Seungri for the JTBC and YG Entertainment survival show, and he mentioned that she had come in No. 12 on “Produce 101.”

Seungri asked her what she thought the reason is that she reached No. 12 on the show, and she surprised him by replying with a laugh, “Don’t I look cute?”

Han Hyeri then performed BoA’s song “Atlantis Princess.” When she was finished, Seungri asked her, “Do you think that the song you did was an alright song?”

Han Hyeri replied confidently, “Yes!”

Seungri paused before asking her, “Is your personality usually this positive?” Han Hyeri said that she thinks that’s true.

“I don’t think that being positive is good for you,” replied Seungri.

He then imitated how she had been acting cute, before reading out from her provided information that fans call her “Sparrow” because of her cute voice and appearance (with her nickname based on an onomatopoeia of a bird’s chirping noise).

“It’s not good to be chirping when you’re singing. You’re not a sparrow,” he said.

In her private interview afterwards, Han Hyeri cried and wiped her tears. She said, “I’m hungry,” before adding “[That’s] really too mean. I’m going to tell my mom.”

Han Hyeri was not accepted to join “MIXNINE” as a contestant.

The third episode of “MIXNINE” will air on JTBC on November 12 at 4:50 p.m. KST.
