On January 19, BIGBANG’s Taeyang dropped a live version of “VIBE” featuring BTS’s Jimin!

Taeyang released his highly-anticipated new song “VIBE” featuring Jimin earlier on January 13 at 2 p.m. KST. Not only did the single get off to a strong start within Korea but it also shot to the top of iTunes charts in numerous other countries.

In the new live clip, Taeyang and Jimin get together to sing “VIBE,” showcasing their charismatic vocals while having a blast grooving to the music with the band.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang will be the face of Givenchy in 2023!

On January 17 local time, the luxury French fashion house officially announced, “Givenchy is pleased to announce the appointment of Taeyang as 2023 global ambassador.”

Creative director Matthew Williams remarked, “Taeyang is an inspiring artist—a music pioneer with an authentic, barrier-breaking way of expressing his own personal style, which fits perfectly with today’s Givenchy aesthetic.”

Meanwhile, Taeyang expressed his excitement by commenting, “I am grateful to be able to start this new chapter of my life with Givenchy. It holds a special meaning to me, as Givenchy is a brand that has inspired me in many ways over the years.”

“Matthew has also been a leader in both fashion and culture for many years,” continued Taeyang. “I look forward to the exciting ways to collaborate with Givenchy through this partnership.”

Taeyang, who will attend Givenchy’s Men’s Fashion Week show in Paris tomorrow, is the first Korean male artist to be named a global ambassador for the brand—joining aespa, who was the first K-pop artist appointed to the role back in 2021.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang’s new single featuring BTS’s Jimin is dominating iTunes charts across the globe!

On January 13 at 2 p.m. KST, Taeyang released his highly-anticipated new song “VIBE” featuring Jimin. Not only did the single get off to a strong chart within Korea, immediately ranking high on all major domestic realtime music charts, but it also shot to the top of iTunes charts in numerous other countries.

According to THEBLACKLABEL, by the morning of January 14 KST, “VIBE” had already hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 60 different regions around the world—and that number continues to climb.
