May Individual Idol Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual idols!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of 1,730 idols, using big data collected from April 27 to May 27.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon held onto his spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 5,752,691 for May. High-ranking phrases in his keyword analysis included “perform,” “reveal,” and “sold-out,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “world tour,” “Übermensch,” and “highball.” G-Dragon’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 91.25 percent positive reactions.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 5,398,846, marking a 12.61 percent increase in her score since last month.

BTS’s Jin came in at a close third with a brand reputation index of 5,253,566, marking a 6.65 percent rise in his score since April.

IVE’s Jang Won Young took fourth place with a brand reputation index of 5,098,412 for May.

Finally, BLACKPINK’s Rosé rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 5,073,254, marking a 12.14 percent increase in her score since April.

Jennie’s “like JENNIE” is the No. 1 song for the fifth straight week. Congratulations to Jennie!

Two songs newly entered the top 10 this week.

Moving up 11 spots to No. 2 is MEOVV’s “HANDS UP,” their first top 10 hit on our chart. A pre-release single from their first EP “MY EYES OPEN VVIDE,” “HANDS UP” is a Brazilian funk genre song with fast rhythms and unique synth sounds.

BOYNEXTDOOR’s “I Feel Good” enters at No. 3. The title track from their fourth mini album “No Genre,” it is a dance song that features heavy bass sounds and solid guitar riffs, highlighting the group’s dynamic energy.
