[뉴스1=황미현 기자] BIGBANG (G-DRAGON·TAEYANG·T.O.P·DAESUNG) is finally making a comeback.

YG Entertainment said on the 7th that “BIGBANG is set to release a new song this spring”. They then added “Their new song has already been recorded and they are about to shoot their MV”.

BIGBANG’s comeback comes after approximately 4 years since releasing their single ‘Flower Road’ in March 2018. At the time BIGBANG had sung ‘This isn’t our last, we’ll meet again when the flowers bloom again’ through the song. Just like the lyrics, BIGBANG is now meeting again with their fans in spring, when the flowers bloom.

BIGBANG made their debut in 2006 and is now in their 17th year. They had produced numerous hit song such as ‘LIES’, ‘LAST FAREWELL’, ‘HARU HARU’ ‘FANTASTIC BABY’ and ‘BANG BANG BANG’.

BIGBANG members had joined the military one by one starting with T.O.P in 2017, floowing G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG, resulting in a 4 year break.

Meanwhile, T.O.P terminated his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment with BIGBANG’s comeback, and will challenge himself in various fields as an artist and businessman with his personal projects.

YG said “We respect his decision of wanting to expand his activities as an individual, not only as a BIGBANG member, and we drew a great conclusion with other members too regarding this. He will join BIGBANG’s activities when the situation allows him to”.

[Article] Seungri’s Sentence To Be Reduced To 1 Year And 6 Months

Seungri’s Sentence To Be Reduced To 1 Year And 6 Months

Seungri’s Sentence To Be Reduced To 1 Year And 6 Months

Jan 27, 2022

On January 27, the High Court for Armed Forces carried out Seungri’s appeal trial.

Seungri currently has nine charges including the violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes, violation of the Food Sanitation Act, embezzlement, violation of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes, habitual gambling, violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, prostitution mediation, purchase of prostitution services, and special violence instigation.

In today’s appeal trial, the justice department sentenced Seungri to one year and six months in prison, which is a reduced sentence from his first sentence of three years in prison, along with a fine of 1,156,900,000 won (about $994,544). Previously, Seungri and the military prosecution had both filed appeals on his original sentence.

The reduced sentence seems to follow Seungri’s change in stance. In the original trial, Seungri had denied eight of his nine charges excluding the violation of the Foreign Exchange Transactions Act, but he acknowledged all his charges in the appeal trial and conveyed his remorse.

Following the first trial last year, Seungri is currently imprisoned after being placed under arrest by the court. Both Seungri and the military prosecution did not appeal to the Supreme Court, so in the case that the appeal sentence is finalized, Seungri will be released after serving one year and one month more of his sentence. The third trial will be carried out by the Supreme Court of Korea.
