G-Dragon Literally Paid for Fans Meal in New York

G-Dragon is a leading fashion icon and one of Korea’s biggest superstars, but he has the biggest heart of gold!G-Dragon was in New York over the weekend for his concert, Act III: M.O.T.T.E. and hit up a ramen joint while he was there, because K-pop stars need to eat to.

A fan was dining at Ichiran, when he recognized the star and tried to get a pic with him. Unfortunately G-Dragon’s bodyguards stopped him from talking to the star. When the fan finished eating his ramen and tried to leave, he found that G-Dragon had already paid for his meal! Isn’t that just the sweetest?GD might not be able to talk to his fan, but he certainly does care for every one of his fans, fanboys included. Message well received, oppa!

Watch: YG Artists Diss Own Agency In Preview For New YG Entertainment Original Variety Show

On July 29, YG Entertainment released a video teaser for their upcoming original variety sitcom, which is tentatively being called “YG Strategy Center.”

The video depicts planning meetings for the new show, which will be based on real-life events and happenings at YG Entertainment, and many YG artists made appearances in the two minute long preview.

“YG Strategy Center” is the first program to come out of the agency since they brought PD Park Jun Su, who has created shows like Mnet’s “The God Of Music,” on board earlier this year and is, therefore, garnering a great deal of interest.

In the teaser, YG artists – like BLACKPINK, ONE, BIGBANG’s Seungri, CL, WINNER, iKON – can be seen talking about the company and dissing the company in a humorous and entertaining way. For example, iKON said, “Our manager was not a weird person before coming to YG Entertainment but it seems like people become weirder the longer they’re here.”

At the end, it is revealed that the program is tentatively slated to air in November of this year, while the channel it will be broadcasted on has not been decided upon as of yet. A source from YG Entertainment said, “We’re currently having a lot of preproduction meetings and are planning to begin filming in September.”

Watch the hilarious teaser below!

G-Dragon Misses His Little Brother Seungri, Here’s Proof

G-Dragon misses BIGBANG’s maknae Seungri a lot and he had to let the whole world know!

Seungri uploaded a photo of BIGBANG’s “A TO Z” Taipei exhibition as he will be attending the event.

Fans poured out their excitement over Seungri’s appearance but amongst the many comments, a heartfelt comment from G-Dragon’s private account was spotted.

“Seungri-ya, where in the world are you and what are you doing. I miss you.”

— G-Dragon

Just like his hyung, Seungri has been keeping busy as he is occupied attending events like the exhibition above and even club events.

Not only that but Seungri has been highly active in his personal life as he even recently participated in a Jiu Jitsu competition and won medals!

Congratulations Richard Lee! (That’s his real English name.)

Since Seungri is very engaged with his individual activities lately and G-Dragon is busy with his world tour, both haven’t heard from each other!

Hopefully, the two find some vacant spots in their busy schedules and get to catch up with one another since G-Dragon really misses his dongseng…

Fans shouldn’t be worried though, even if the members seem far away right now, G-Dragon promised that BIGBANG will come back together!

BIGBANG’s T.O.P to take a sick leave from military due to social anxiety + will not appeal sentence

After recently receiving his sentence regarding his marijuana scandal, BIGBANG’s T.O.P has filed for a sick leave from the military.

According to police officials on July 28, the idol star will be taking a sick leave due to his heightened social anxiety. He submitted an official medical note recording his current condition as well as a written consent of a family member to the police division.

In the meantime, T.O.P is currently resting at home and will be going in for an examination next week which will determine whether he would still be qualified to serve as a conscripted policeman. If he passes the examination, he will be returning to his base, otherwise, he would have to complete his army duties in another role.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the BIGBANG member will not appeal his sentence.

[Summary] No Appeal launched, T.O.P Trial Finished, Sentence final

Article by KPopBehind:

BIGBANG’s TOP, who has been charged with smoking marijuana and said he will gladly accept any punishment didn’t lodge an appeal against the decision of the court.

On July 20, BIGBANG TOP’s final trial was held at the Seoul Central District Court, and as a result, he was given a 10-month jail sentence suspended for two years. And the prosecution imposed him to pay 12,000 won in restitution for his crime. He could lodge an appeal against the decision of the court within in a week, but he didn’t, according to the court officials on July 28.

Why do you think TOP didn’t lodge an appeal against the decision of the court, then? Well, basically, it’s because he deeply regrets what he did and feels ashamed of himself. He knows he did a great wrong and disappointed his fans bitterly. According to the officials, he feels so sorry for all the people who’ve been supporting him for a long time. He didn’t want to disappoint people around him again by lodging an appeal against the decision of the court.

And actually, TOP could get a lighter sentence because he admitted all the charges and deeply regretted what he did. At his final trial, the judge said “He needs to be punished severely because he is a very popular person and his wrongdoing could have a bad influence on society. However, we decided to reduce his sentence because he admitted all the charges and he deeply regrets what he did”.

Anyway, I hope TOP will make a comeback in good health after having time for self-restraint and self-reflection.

Meanwhile, TOP will not go to jail, but the idol star, who was serving as a conscripted policeman before being charged with smoking marijuana has to be examined if he is qualified for a conscripted policeman. If he passes the examination, he returns to his unit, and if not, he has to fulfill military duty as a public service worker.
