BIGBANG’s T.O.P And JYJ’s Kim Junsu Finish Training, To Leave For Respective Assignments

BIGBANG’s T.O.P and JYJ’s Kim Junsu have finished their training and are preparing to leave for their new assignments.

The two singers were admitted into the Nonsan Army Training Center back in February 9, but will now be leaving the center to start their new roles on March 9.

T.O.P and Kim Junsu received four weeks of basic military training and now the two are scheduled to perform their military service as police men. They will be going to separate police stations for more training. They will also be meeting their family members and acquaintances at the Nonsan Army Training Center completion ceremony before heading off to their respective training sites immediately.

T.O.P will be serving at the Seoul Metropolitan Polic Agency and will be trained at the riot police training center located in Gyeonggi province. Kim Junsu, who is set to serve at the South Gyeonggi Police Agency, will be trained at the task group police training center in Gyeonggi province for two to three weeks.

Meanwhile, the two singers are scheduled to discharge from the army on November 2018.

On March 8, BIGBANG’s Seungri shared a photo of himself with fellow bandmate G-Dragon.

The photo shows G-Dragon having fun and messing with Seungri. The group had revealed during their appearance on MBC’s “Radio Star” last year that the other members like to mess with Seungri, who is the youngest member, to show their affection for him.

Along with the photo, Seungri wrote in Japanese, “Seriously.. that’s enough now.” However, his comment doesn’t seem to hold much fire since it ended with a heart emoji.

You can’t deny that T.O.P very well enjoys pointing at the camera. (And the fact that he looks incredibly hot doing so.)

Well, this finger pointing habit of T.O.P continued on even at the military. Recently, photos shared on the official website of the army training camp put a smile on many faces as T.O.P looked more relaxed and comfortable. And yes, he was pointing at the camera.

Jeon So Mi revealed to be a huge fangirl of BIGBANG‘s T.O.P.On the March 7 airing of ‘Choi Hwa Jung’s Power Time‘, Jeon So Mi named 2NE1 and BIGBANG as her favorite groups, and stated, “I still have T.O.P’s poster in my room. Unfortunately, I never got to meet him.” 

She continued to show great love for the idol star by saying, “I felt like my whole world was crashing down when T.O.P recently left for the military.” 

DJ Choi Hwa Jung then asked if she ever wanted to go under YG Entertainment. She responded, “I didn’t have a chance to audition for YG but there was an opportunity for JYP.”

Henry Explains Why He Thinks BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” Was Written By A Genius

On March 4’s episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” Super Junior-M’s Henry appeared as a guest and wowed the audience with his talents, as well as chatted about his life and music.

During Henry’s interview, Yoo Hee Yeol mentioned that many people call Henry a musical genius, and asked him if that doesn’t make him feel pressured. “I’m definitely not a genius,” Henry replied. “I don’t think there’s such a thing as a genius. Everyone [who is seen as a genius] has practiced very hard.”

Yoo Hee Yeol asked in return, “Is there someone that makes you think, ‘Wow, this person is really great at music,’ someone you’d admit is a musical genius?”

Henry first named Yoo Hee Yeol himself, before saying, “There was one thing I was amazed by recently!”

He then sang a line from BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT,” and said, “When I first heard this song, I thought ‘Wow, a genius wrote this.'” Henry explained that he had been amazed by how the English lyrics “And I wanna get down” in the chorus match up with the song’s similar-sounding Korean phrase, which is pronounced as “ehra moreugettda” and the group has translated to “FXXK IT.”

“It’s the best,” Henry said with a thumbs up, before turning to Yoo Hee Yeol and asking, “Do you have that person’s phone number? Please introduce me to them!” Yoo Hee Yeol jokingly replied, “I don’t want to!”

The lyrics for BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” were written by YG Entertainment’s famous composer Teddy, along with BIGBANG members G-Dragon and T.O.P.

In this week’s episode, Henry performed a sweet cover of Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel,” as well as staged a beautiful performance of g.o.d’s “Road” followed by a fun version of “Uptown Funk,” during which he amazed everyone by playing the piano, violin, and guitar.

On March 3, YG uploaded pictures of LEE SOO HYUK basking in the sunlight under the title of ”THE FIRST SPRING WITH YG” on its official website for actors.

LEE SOO HYUK has a chic but mysterious image and is also known for his fabulous and unique style and taste in fashion. Expectations are running high for the chemistry between LEE SOO HYUK and YG.

YG commented, “We will do our best to support LEE SOO HYUK so that his career can flourish.”

The hairstyle of Jared Leto‘s Joker in Suicide Squad was inspired by BIGBANG‘s very own T.O.P.

At the 89th Academy Awards held on February 26, Suicide Squad won an Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. Before the actual award ceremony, all the nominees for that award group displayed an exhibit to showcase their mood boards and still cuts from their respective films.

At the Suicide Squad section of the exhibit, photos of Leto’s Joker along with other characters were on display with vivid mood boards behind each character.

The signature green hair of Jared Leto was displayed on a wig and beside it were photos with notes pertaining to the signature hair.

Out of the many photos, the main photo that clearly showcased the direct inspiration for that look was a photo of T.O.P with the same hairstyle.

T.O.P donned this hairstyle for BIGBANG’s fifth extended play album: “Alive.” It was released on February 29, 2012, roughly 4 years before the movie Suicide Squad was released.

Thanks to the clear mood board made by the team, the execution for Jared Leto’s Joker was done flawlessly as seen by their win at the Academy Awards.

Mood Boards are highly important in the design sector because words fail miserably when translating design concepts. The picture of T.O.P with his green hair clearly showed the design team of Suicide Squad what the objective was for the film.

BIGBANG is recognized as one of the most unique male groups of all time, but they share one distinctive trait with girl groups.

As you may have noticed, there is a massive difference in popularity when it comes to girl groups and boy groups. According to the 6th Gaon Chart Awards, girl groups like GFriend and Mamamoo are very successful regarding digital profit. However, for most boy groups, it is the physical album profit that is more popular.

BIGBANG shares the ranking amongst 11 girl groups at the 6th GaonChart Awards, becoming the only male group on the charts to fall under the category for digital releases. 

Many fans have been led to speculate as to why this is, considering that both the boy groups and the girl groups in question are equally famous. However, taking the stats and the fandoms into account, one can conclude that the groups are not the reason behind the contrast in profit.
