BIGBANG’s G-Dragon Confirmed To Be Holding Solo Concert This Summer

It has been confirmed that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon will be holding a solo concert this summer!

Earlier reports stated that G-Dragon would be holding a solo concert on June 10 at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium. A representative from YG Entertainment has since responded to the reports and said, “It is true that we are currently in the planning stages for G-Dragon’s solo concert; however, exact dates and more specific details will be revealed after we finalize our plans.”

The concert will be G-Dragon’s third as a solo artist. His first concert “Shine A Light” was held back in 2009 to promote his debut solo album “Heartbreaker.” In the first half of 2013, he also conducted the “One Of A Kind” world tour prior to the release of “Coup d’Etat.”

The upcoming concert might be promoting G-Dragon’s latest solo album, which the agency confirmed was in the works back in January.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang has shared a hint of his new promotional song for Lexus Korea!

On March 30, Taeyang appeared as a special guest at Lexus Korea’s event at the Seoul Motor Show to introduce their new car. It was previously announced that Taeyang has co-composed a track as a promotional brand song entitled “So Good” for the car, with the song and its music video due to be released in May.

The event played a short clip of the song as Taeyang entered the stage, before the singer introduced himself, briefly talked about the track, and then performed a few lines of the track for everyone (he sings at around the 2:07 mark). Check it out for yourself below!

BIGBANG’s Seungri rumored to be dating his Chinese fan


BIGBANG‘s Seungri is swept up in another dating rumor. This time, it regards his fan.

According to various Hong Kong media outlets such as Yahoo Hong Kong, Seungri is currently dating his 21-year-old Chinese fan.

The dating news is based on a netizen’s report claiming that Seungri was spotted with the same girl multiple times. It’s stated that he attended Psy‘s concert with the alleged girlfriend and was captured with her on New Years, Lunar New Year holiday, and Valentine’s Day. Seungri also reportedly traveled to Africa, Maldives, and Japan with her.

Photos of Seungri sitting next to the alleged girlfriend and holding hands also exist. Their Instagram activities also match in their posts with the same locations and time period.

The alleged girlfriend of Seungri is also close with CL. She shared a selca with CL on her private account, however, it somehow leaked and spread across the web.

Watch: MONSTA X Laughs Their Way Through Playful Cover Of BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT”

MONSTA X’s promotion schedule might be jam-packed these days, but the boys have proven that they still know how to have fun!

While appearing as special guests on the March 29 broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Lee Hong Ki’s Kiss The Radio,” MONSTA X members Shownu, I.M, and Jooheon performed a lively cover of BIGBANG’s hit single “FXXK IT.”

In the clip, which was shared via KBS KONG’s official YouTube channel, vocalist Shownu struggles to keep up with the English part of the first verse and tries passing the part to I.M. However, the rapper is only able to keep up for a few more lines before playfully admitting defeat by saying, “Oh my God.”

The slip-up sets a fun mood for the rest of the cover and the boys can be seen cheering each other on and helping one another with their parts.

During the same radio broadcast, MONSTA X’s Jooheon reveals why he struggles with contact lenses. Plus, fans will have the chance to see even more of MONSTA X’s playful antics on next week’s episode of “Weekly Idol.”

BIGBANG’s Japanese Dome Tour DVD Rises To Top Of Oricon Chart

On March 30, BIGBANG’s Japanese dome tour DVD, “BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT : 0.TO.10 -THE FINAL-,” topped daily overall DVD charts on Japan’s biggest music ranking chart Oricon Style. “BIGBANG’S 2017 WELCOMING COLLECTION DVD” also claimed third spot on the chart and proved BIGBANG’s popularity.

This is not the first time BIGBANG has achieved this feat. Last year, BIGBANG topped three weekly Oricon charts with a DVD they released in July.

Last year’s concert was held in celebration of BIGBANG’s 10th anniversary, and BIGBANG became the first foreign artist to successfully hold dome tours in Japan for four years in a row. They performed in four cities including Osaka and had a total of 781,500 people attend the 16 shows they held.

This was also T.O.P’s last Japanese tour before enlisting in the military, and he took the opportunity to say farewell to his Japanese fans.

Meanwhile, Daesung recently released a new album in Japan and will soon embark on a solo dome tour.

After having completed his 4 weeks of training, T.O.P has been placed into the Gangnam police station to serve his military service.
BIGBANG‘s T.O.P began his two-year mandatory military service on February 9, 2017, and, has been engaged in mandatory military training since. Now that his basic and police duty training is complete, it has been announced that he has ben appointed to serve for 21 months as a police soldier in Gangnam. T.O.P is set to take part in the exit ceremony today (March 29) and will then officially begin his duty as a conscripted police officer.

T.O.P has been placed in Gangnam’s Public Relations Office and will also be a part of the special police band. Fortunately for T.O.P, this means he will already be familiar with the area as he and his family and friends live close by.
He is set to be discharged from his service on November 8, 2018.

It’s been a bit quite on the news front for T.O.P ever since he left for his mandatory military training last month, but now we have an update on what BIGBANG’s deep-voiced member will be up to next.
According to new reports, T.O.P has successfully completed his four weeks of military training at the Nonsan Army Training Centre, and he will now be stationed at the Gangnam police station, where he will serve as a policeman.

BIGBANG’s Daesung Tops Charts With New Japanese Mini Album

BIGBANG member Daesung’s mini album “D-Day” has rose through the ranks of various charts!

After Daesung unveiled “D-Day” on March 28, the mini album immediately climbed to first place of Japan’s iTunes album chart.

Furthermore, it snagged the top spot in the realtime single and album charts of major music streaming services Mu-mo and Mora. The album is also attracting global interest, with “#DDay” reaching the top trends on Twitter.

The release of the mini album commemorates the beginning of Daesung’s first solo concert tour, which will kick off after the album’s offline release on April 12.

With a total of seven songs, “D-Day” showcases the more mature side of Daesung. He directly participated in the album’s production, together with the prestigious lineup of Motohiro Hata, Yoshiki Mizuno of Ikimono-gakari, and Ayaka, as well as Seiji Kameda as the sound producer, raising the expectations of fans higher than ever.

Meanwhile, Daesung’s tour will kick off at the Metlife Dome on April 15 and 16, followed by the Kyocera Dome on April 22 and 23. He is set to treat his Japanese fans to a total of four concerts in two cities, for a total audience exceeding 200,000.

BIGBANG’s T.O.P confirmed to serve at Gangnam Police Station


 

BIGBANG‘s T.O.P has been stationed at Gangnam Police Station.

According to an exclusive report by Star News, T.O.P has successfully completed 4 weeks of mandatory military training, as well as his police duty training at the Seoul Training Center for Human Resources Development.

He is attending an exiting ceremony on March 29 and will officially serve as a conscripted policeman at Gangnam Police Station.

T.O.P is scheduled to be discharged from the military in November of 2018.
