Several members of the Kpop idol group BIGBANG are set to begin their mandatory military service in the coming months. Ahead of T.O.P.’s enlistment, the musician revealed some interesting details about his friendship with G-Dragon.

Some of BIGBANG’s secrets, as well as the members’ camaraderie, were unveiled in the recent episode of the MBC show “Weekly Idol.” Aired on Feb. 8, Wednesday, the show released never-before-seen footage from the K-pop group’s earlier appearance that included a talk segment and other interesting scenes.

T.O.P.’s revelation about his friendship with G-Dragon caught the attention of many viewers especially when the art aficionado hinted at an incident where he became upset with the BIGBANG leader. Declining to divulge details, T.O.P. shared that he refrained from approaching G-Dragon about his relationship problems since then, Koreaboo reported.

It appears that T.O.P. previously consulted G-Dragon about his love life and even asked the BIGBANG leader for advice. However, he stopped when he discovered that his bandmate mentioned his relationship problems to another person and shared his secret.

Despite what seems to be a sensitive subject between the two Kpop idols, G-Dragon and T.O.P. remained friends after the said incident. Daesung even joked about G-Dragon’s chatty behavior and teased how the BIGBANG leader would be a perfect candidate to host a radio show.

In other news, T.O.P. is set to start his mandatory military service on Feb. 9, Thursday. However, the musician and art lover will enter the military without any fanfare or special events, according to a recent YG Entertainment announcement, as obtained by Korea Herald.

Meanwhile, prior to the said BIGBANG member’s enlistment, G-Dragon took to Instagram to share his sadness over his bandmate’s nearly two-year hiatus. G-Dragon uploaded a photo of himself with T.O.P. inside what appears to be a salon.

Holding on to T.O.P.’s arm tightly, the BIGBANG leader leaned his forehead against the musician’s chest as he tried to hide his face. G-Dragon even used a teary-faced emoji in his social media post and simply wrote, “Hyung,” which means older brother.

BIGBANG’s T.O.P. Quietly Leaves For The Military With New Haircut

T.O.P. got what he wanted when he left Thursday for his military enlistment without any fanfare.

Fans have long been eager to find out if they can greet farewell to the 29-year-old rapper-actor but T.O.P. expressly shared his desire to take off without any fuss or media attention.

“I really want to leave quietly today,” all K-pop quoted T.O.P. as saying to a post with an accompanying screenshot of his enlistment report that was later removed from his account.

“Please understand even if I leave without any greetings. I’m sorry,” he added.

The oldest BIGBANG member and consequently the first in the group to take on his mandatory military duty also didn’t want to see even his four bandmates.

“I miss my dongsengs, I’m not going to m before enlisting because I’ll miss them too much :P” wrote T.O.P. on Tuesday.

G-Dragon and Taeyang responded to the post and even wrote in the comment section as they begged to see him one last time.

G-Dragon eventually caught T.O.P. just in time before the latter took off and even captured their final moments together in a photo.

T.O.P. updated fans with his last night before enlistment. His Instagram photos captured him having a splendid time by having dinner with his mom and enjoying a good bottle of wine and fine dining.

“Good bye Seoul,” he captioned two-series photos of him smoking.

T.O.P. sported his new military cut and called it “Spock” which could be a reference to the fictional Star Trek character Spock the First Officer of the Starship Enterprise spacecraft.

BIGBANG’s main rapper will be away from the limelight for at least 21 months so his latest posts emphasized just how much time can make someone forget or remember.

His fans promised to wait for his comeback.

“We won’t forget you..you are printed in our heart and you will remain there for forever..VIP for life #BIGBANG#TOP TC Rock your service praying for good health

BIGBANG’s T.O.P. Lives In A Museum-Like House

Bang’s T.O.P. does not only collect artworks, he also lives in a house that’s almost like a museum in itself!

Jaw-dropping house photos of BIGBANG’s main rapper recently garnered attention among netizens who couldn’t shake off the idea that the house looks like a museum.

According to all K-pop, the 29-year-old idol lives in a luxurious home in the posh villa of Yongsan. T.O.P.’s house is 290 square meters and estimated to be worth approximately 3 billion KRW (about 2.6 million USD). The star combined two of these houses to make up a 594 square meters home that nestles his expensive collection of artworks.

The rapper-actor revealed on MBC’s “Radio Star” that most of his money goes to this hobby.

“I spend at least 95 percent of my income on buying new art,” said T.O.P.

He even installed a refrigeration system at his house to keep his art collection well-maintained.

It’s for this reason that the BIGBANG members dubbed him as “T.O.P.vre,” a wordplay of his stage name and the famous Louvre Museum in Paris.

BIGBANG’s youngest member Seungri, also known as the one with the business knack in the group, also revealed that T.O.P. doesn’t hesitate to splurge.

“I don’t think I can lend money to TOP,” said Seungri on Kim Shin Young’s MBC radio show in 2013, according to Soompi. “TOP loves furniture shopping. He spends a lot of money on his home interior. He purchases really expensive furniture that people can’t even sit on from Italy or Paris. If I lend him money, I think he’ll end up using it to buy furniture.”

Seungri contrasted T.O.P. to another member Daesung when it comes to money.

“Daesung has two or three financial planners for himself,” he said. “He has meetings with them at least once a week. Just like this name, I think he will achieve great things.”

MILLET CF with TOP and Park Shin Hye FW2014 밀레 전속모델 탑 박신혜의 겨울편 TVCF 최초 공개합니다!

BIGBANG’s T.O.P. will soon leave the glitter and bustle of South Korean’s entertainment industry to complete his mandatory military service. Ahead of the Kpop idol’s enlistment date, pictures of the musician’s million-dollar home caught the attention of avid fans.

Loyal fans have uncovered several snapshots of T.O.P.’s house through the musician’s social media account, as well as previously released photos. Located in Yongsan and priced at around $2.6 million (3 billion won), the property reportedly had two houses that the BIGBANG member renovated into a single villa.

Given the house’s eye-catching and high-end interior decorations, netizens compared the BIGBANG band member’s home to a museum, All Kpop reported. With T.O.P.’s interest in the arts, several paintings and unique pieces adorned various areas inside the musician’s house.

Several paintings from various genres were strategically placed on the walls with several spotlights focused on the art pieces to further highlight its design. T.O.P. even used a combination of a white colored spotlight and blue light to enhance the effect of a specific art piece, as shown in one of the musician’s previous Instagram posts.

Placed on what appears to be the entry way to the bathroom, the two-light combination gave the painting and the private room a more dramatic look. Moreover, with the large white bathtub positioned several feet across the said art piece, the painting can serve as a good focal point while enjoying a relaxing soak in the tub.

Meanwhile, T.O.P. is set to begin his 19-month mandatory military service on Feb. 9, Thursday. The K-pop group’s agency YG Entertainment recently announced that the BIGBANG band member would also like to keep his enlistment a low-key event, Korea Herald reported.

The Kpop idol will begin his military duty with the standard rookie soldier training to be held at the Nonsan army training center. After the completing the said program, BIGBANG’s T.O.P. will then be deployed to a specific army unit where he will spend the rest of his military service.
