[MD Review] “Worked the hardest today in 10 years”… BIGBANG unwound in “Weekly Idol”

[마이데일리=전원 기자] “Worked the hardest today in 10 years!”

BIGBANG appeared in MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol” show aired on January 11.

First, “Show me the president’s credit card”competition whose winner can use YG YANG HYUN SUK’s credit card freely was changed into “Show me BIGBANG members’ card”. The winner of the competition could use the credit card of each member of BIGBANG. The mission given to the competition was to sing cute songs. BIGBANG members worked so hard to win the competition, singing the cutie song which G-DRAGON once sang alone in “Weekly Idol” show in the past.

Watching SEUNGRI’s over-action in his performance of the cutie song, G-DRAGON said, “That is so disgusting. I feel like throwing up”. Eventually, SEUNGRI won the competition and became able to buy a laptop with G-DRAGON’s credit card.

Then, BIGBANG members boasted the flexibility of their waists and then showed free-style rapping, making everyone burst into laughter.

SEUNGRI further brightened up the atmosphere, performing the dance of I.O.I’s “Pick Me”. All the BIGBANG members also engaged in competition of girl group dance.

TAEYANG was the first and he performed BLACKPINK’s “BOOMBAYAH” and GFRIEND’s “Rough”. T.O.P caught the eyes by shaking his hips to Brown Eyed Girls’“Abracadabra”. T.O.P’s dance was too suggestive, so the other members tried to stop him.

G-DRAGON presented the “ShaShaSha” dance of TWICE’s “Cheer Up”. G-DRAGON’s coy and attractive performance was acclaimed by everyone. DAESUNG also received big applause by showing a perfect dance of “Cheer Up”.

SEUNGRI suggested G-DRAGON and DAESUNG’s competition of performing “Pick Me”. G-DRAGON was so shy and shouted “Hey, let’s stop”, but soon completed the performance with DAESUNG. G-DRAGON shouted with a sigh, “I worked the hardest today in 10 years since my debut. I don’t understand why I should have done this here.”

BIGBANG weekly idol pt2_header

On the January 11 BIGBANG episode of “Weekly Idol,” the show revisited G-Dragon‘s episode from 2013.

As they began a new segment, the members watched an old clip of their leader attempting the “Gwiyomi (Cutie) Player” meme, which was at its peak popularity at that time.

As the other members watched enthusiastically, G-Dragon struggled due to embarrassment.

When the members were asked about their thoughts on G-Dragon’s “performance,” T.O.P immediately replied, “How unfortunate,” causing the set to burst out laughing.

Inspired by G-Dragon’s “Gwiyomi Player,” the other members had to compete with their own renditions. The winner would be chosen by G-Dragon himself, and awarded G-Dragon’s credit card to use for a gift.

As for the criteria for deciding the winner, G-Dragon explained, “Whoever gets me angry from being too cute will win.”

First up was Daesung, and right off the bat, he came out strong and instantly raised the bar by giving it his all. Next, Taeyang gave an endearing rendition by trying his best despite the feeling of defeat. However, the real competition began once T.O.P and Seungri’s turns came around.

T.O.P showed off his unique imagination as he performed his peculiar interpretation of the “Gwiyomi Player.” He finished it off by putting his hand in his mouth and then attempting to rub it off on Seungri, much to Seungri’s surprise.

Last but not least was Seungri, the first member of BIGBANG to ever do the “Gwiyomi Player,” and he did not disappoint. He immediately caused an uproar of laughter, and to top it all off, he added the chorus and dance of “Nobody” by Wonder Girls to his act.

As soon as “Nobody” popped out, G-Dragon immediately stopped Seungri and declared him the winner. However, Seungri was displeased that his performance was cut short and exclaimed, “There’s more! There’s more at the end!”

After a sabotage attempt by T.O.P, Seungri was finally able to finish his “Gwiyomi Player” in peace.

[Yesterday TV] GD’s “ShaShaSha”, T.O.P’s “BANG BANGBANG” twice fast…“Thank you for your appearance in ‘Weekly Idol’”

[OSEN=박소영 기자]  “The TV show in which BIGBANG worked the hardest in 10 years”

G-DRAGON showed the “ShaShaSha” dance of TWICE and T.O.P did the dance of “BANG BANGBANG”twice fast. Where could we watch such scenes? It was possible as it was “Weekly Idol” show.

The second BIGBANG episode was aired in MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol” show aired on January 11. The main theme of the previous BIGBANG episode was random play dance, but the second episode presented a wider variety of spectacles.

The four members of BIGBANG other than G-DRAGON sang a medley of cute songs, to get G-DRAGON’s black card. T.O.P’s cute but freaky dance, DAESUNG’s attractive smile with eyes, TAEYANG’s charming but manly acting, as well as SEUNGRI’s cute singing with all his body completed the cutie BIGBANG medley, which has never been presentedagainsince the time of their debut.

BIGBANG members also presented girl group dances. TAEYANG boasted his powerful but cute appeal by performing “BOOMBAYAH” and “Rough”. T.O.P became the “sexy fool T.O.P”again by performing the sexy dance of “Abracadabra”. G-DRAGON and DAESUNG boasted their cute appeals by performing the dance of“Cheer Up”.

SEUNGRI picked G-DRAGON and DAESUNG as the finalists, holding the card in his hand firmly. Then, the two performed I.O.I’s “Pick Me”. Viewers acclaimed thesurprising two-shot of G-DRAGON and DAESUNG doing the dance of “Pick Me” together.

The ending of the second BIGBANG episode was dance of a twice fast speed. The MCs of the show promised that the twice-fast dance session would be canceled if BIGBANG members promise to appear in the show next time again. But T.O.P who was unusually happy on the day shouted he will do it. Eventually, BIGBANG members first said goodbye and then tried the twice-fast dance of “BANG BANG BANG”.

That created an unprecedentedly eye-catching spectacle. BIGBANG presented the perfectly disciplined group dance to twice-fast “BANG BANG BANG”. The five members danced perfectly, boasting the veteran skills of an idol boy group in the 10thyear from their debut. Fans who were watching BIGBANG on TV shouted in joy.

BIGBANG poured out all their playfulness and talent in “Weekly Idol” show. The MCs made full use of BIGBANG who said they would never appear in the show again. That was how the legendary episode of “Weekly Idol” show was born.

BIGBANG Reveals What They Want To Receive From Yang Hyun Suk, With Not-So Wanted Result

BIGBANG

A lesson that often has to be repeated: never trust the MCs of “Weekly Idol.”

During their appearance on the January 11 episode of MBC Every1’s “Weekly Idol,” BIGBANG were took part in a rising corner on the show, “Show Me The Card.”

At first, Defconn and Jung Hyung Don introduced it as “Show Me Boss’s Card,” and asked the members what they wanted to receive as gifts from Yang Hyun Suk. Supposedly, if they succeeded in the following challenges, then their “boss” would actually buy these things for them.

As the first to answer, Taeyang commented, “This is very ambiguous. What should I set as the standard?” He eventually stated that he wants a computer. Daesung said that he’d like an air purifier, which was specified as a Swiss air purifier after the MCs tried to get them to choose more expensive items.

Meanwhile, T.O.P, being his normal self, answered that he wanted to receive a chair because he “likes furniture.” At the MCs prodding, he went into detail about how he wanted a designer chair, not a do-it-yourself one from Ikea. However, he hilariously added, “If I was given free reign, I want to combine all our answers and ask for a villa just for BIGBANG instead.”

G-Dragon had the hardest time choosing, and first said that he wanted to take everyone, including their staff, to a nice dinner for his “potential present.” This quickly changed to a company-wide trip to Jeju Island, before the producers informed the rapper it had to be a personal item. In the end, he chose a laptop, and caused Seungri to also change his answer to also be a laptop.

However, the twist was that this corner was in fact, had been changed to be “Show Me -insert member’s name- Card,” which meant the members would be buying each other these gifts. Quickly, the members changed answers and set down guidelines, like “the company dinner has to be a simple one.” T.O.P amusingly commented that it was a good thing they didn’t actually choose the villa.

They also attempted other hilarious challenges during the show, like dancing “BANG BANG BANG” in double time.

Rapper DinDin Says His Fans Encourage His Love For G-Dragon

dindin

Rapper DinDin really looks up to G-Dragon a lot.

On the January 11 episode of MBC’s “Radio Star,” DinDin appeared as a guest alongside fellow rappers BewhY and Zizo, as well as BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Rosé.

During his segment, DinDin did an impersonation of G-Dragon singing “If You.” It was so on point from the lilting voice to the 45-degree head tilt that he had the entire cast laughing, proving his status as an up-and-coming comedian.

He also talked about how his love for G-Dragon led his fans to gift him BIGBANG merchandise on his birthday. The presents include limited edition BIGBANG albums, a bromide poster of G-Dragon, and various models of BIGBANG’s official light sticks. The MCs teased him, saying that his fans must think of him as a famous G-Dragon fan instead of an artist.

Despite his immense admiration for G-Dragon, DinDin said that he’s not ready to meet him yet. He hopes that he can become a successful rapper first, so that G-Dragon will praise him when they meet. He also dreams of becoming a close friend that G-Dragon can call whenever he’s feeling down.
