On May 6, SE7EN will be tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend Lee Da Hae after eight years of dating—and Taeyang and Gummy will be singing a celebratory song at the wedding to congratulate the couple. All three singers were formerly labelmates under YG Entertainment.

Meanwhile, comedians Kim Joon Ho and Jo Se Ho—both of whom are close friends with SE7EN—will be hosting the festivities.

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for all idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various idol groups, using big data collected from March 20 to April 20.

BTS rose to the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 8,645,890, marking a 26.06 percent increase in their score since March.

High-ranking phrases in BTS’s keyword analysis included “Jimin,” “J-Hope,” and “Jungkook,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “record,” “enlist,” and “donate.” The group’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.38 percent positive reactions.

BLACKPINK climbed to second place in the rankings with a brand reputation index of 7,136,906, marking a 28.21 percent rise in their score since last month.

Meanwhile, NewJeans came in at a close third with a brand reputation index of 6,931,633 for April.

IVE rose to fourth place after seeing an impressive 108.29 percent increase in their brand reputation index since March, bringing their total score for the month to 5,717,670.

Finally, SEVENTEEN rounded out the top five for April with a brand reputatoin index of 2,393,596.

BIGBANG’s Taeyang has just set a new personal record with his latest solo music video!

On April 22 at 11:54 p.m. KST, Taeyang’s music video for his song “VIBE” featuring BTS’s Jimin surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, making it his third solo music video to do so after “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and “Ringa Linga.”

Taeyang originally released the music video for “VIBE” on January 13 at 2 p.m. KST, meaning that it took the video just under 98 days and 22 hours to reach the milestone.

“VIBE” is now Taeyang’s fastest solo music video ever to hit the 100 million mark, breaking the previous record set by “Eyes, Nose, Lips” (which took over three years to achieve the feat).

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 703 boy group members, using big data collected from March 15 to April 15.

BTS’s Jimin topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 8,013,315, marking an impressive 98.64 percent increase in his score since March.

High-ranking phrases in Jimin’s keyword analysis included “Like Crazy,” “YouTube,” and “ARMY,” while his highest-ranking related terms included “release,” “surpass,” and “record.” The idol’s positivity-negativity analysis revealed a score of 92.39 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 5,198,244, marking a 22.31 percent increase in his score since last month.

Wanna One’s Kang Daniel took third place for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,065,621, marking a modest 7.43 percent rise in his score since March.

Finally, BTS’s V and J-Hope rounded out the top five for April at fourth and fifth places respectively.
