On December 18’s episode of “Running Man,” BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and Rosé had the cast and their groupmates in stitches while playing a question-and-answer game!

Jisoo and Rosé were on opposing teams in the episode, and got matched up to play a game in which they had to reply to each other’s questions with a list of three answers in five seconds.

Jisoo tried to fluster Rosé by asking “Why were you in the bathroom for so long yesterday?” However, Rosé cracked everyone up and earned a thumbs up from her teammates for replying quickly and honestly, “I was going number two, brushing my teeth, and washing up!”

“Who are your favorite male celebrities in YG?” Rosé asked Jisoo in return.

Jisoo replied, “G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Seungri!” Yoo Jae Suk then stood up to address the camera and say, “Daesung, it’s not you!”

Rosé got stumped on Jisoo’s next question, which was “What are your complaints about Yang Hyun Suk?” and could only say “He doesn’t love me a lot!” before giving up.

In reply, Rosé fired back, “Who are three male idols in YG that you don’t want to become friends with?” Jisoo listed G-Dragon and Daesung, but when she said Daesung’s name, everyone (including herself) burst out in laughter again. As Jisoo waved her hands to show she didn’t mean it and the time ran out, Yoo Jae Suk once again stood up to jokingly say to the camera, “Daesung, I hope you won’t misunderstand!”

After the laughter calmed down a bit, Jisoo turned to the camera to make a thumbs up and say, “Daesung is the best!”

Infinite Challenge and BIGBANG, an Hour Full of Laughter

[OSEN=박소영 기자] BIGBANG has taken not only Korea but also the world by storm. Infinite Challenge has become the most representative variety show of Korea. These two are both celebrating their 10th anniversary this year, and they have come together. There wasn’t a special theme, but it was hilarious.

The BIGBANG special episode of Infinite Challenge aired on December 17. It’s been five years since the group BIGBANG appeared as a guest on the show. But, Infinite Challenge members did not go easy on them and started off the show by making fun of their fashion styles.

They were harsh and said things like, “We’re better dressed than you guys”, “It’s all too much”, “From the back, some of you guys look like that wacky singer ‘Lee Baksa’”, “I couldn’t help laughing. I thought you guys are wearing costumes” and “I’m really disappointed in some of you”. BIGBANG was taken aback by their cynical responses.

Infinite Challenge members tried to keep BIGBANG in check by teasing them. Kwanghee picked at SEUNGRI, and Haha made fun of DAESUNG. Yoo Jae Suk said he wanted to take over TAEYANG’s position in the group because he has a similar voice. Jeong Jun-ha and Yang Se-hyeong each chose T.O.P and G-DRAGON as their rivals.

BIGBANG made counter attacks. SEUNGRI picked Kwanghee and DAESUNG chose Haha as those who are in the same position as them within the team. DAESUNG said, “He’s doesn’t play a big role and just say a funny few words now and then.” TAEYANG said, “I would like to take over Myung-soo’s position. He doesn’t do much” and made everyone laugh.

In the dance battle, Kwanghee stood out. He danced as if he was possessed by something doing a wave dance with his slim figure. He won against all BIGBANG members one by one. His mantis dance split everyone’s sides. He gave enough laughs to last a year. The last member to go up against him was T.O.P, and he tried to stop Kwanghee’s winning streak by doing an idiot dance but failed.

Yang Se-hyeong imitated G-DRAGON’s signature style of dancing, making everyone laugh. G-DRAGON let Yang Se-hyeong wear his jacket for a while, and he made most of the chance to flaunt it. It turned out that Yang Se-hyeong and G-DRAGON have birthdays on the same day.

There was also a tell-the-truth time. SEUNGRI and DAESUNG complained, “We don’t get any presents because we’re younger than the rest.” SEUNGRI said, “There is one member that I think wouldn’t have been able to make it if he wasn’t a BIGBANG member” and pointed at DAESUNG. SEUNGRI also interpreted everything they asked him to into Chinese and Japanese, making everyone laugh.

BIGBANG members fitted right in on Infinite Challenge as interpreter SEUNGRI, idiot T.O.P, Yang Se-hyeong’s dop·pel·gäng·er G-DRAGON, an Ugly Club member DAESUNG, and TAEYANG who has a similar voice with Yoo Jae Suk.

Seungri Shares Why He Thinks BIGBANG Will Still Survive Without Him On “Infinite Challenge”

bigbang seungri

BIGBANG’s Seungri recently talked about how he thinks the group will still be as successful without him.

The December 17 episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” featured all five members of BIGBANG as their guests for the day.

During the “Honest Talk” segment, the members were asked to press a button if they thought that BIGBANG could not survive without them. Seungri revealed that he didn’t press the button, saying, “Even without me, it’ll be okay because BIGBANG is BIGBANG.” MC Yoo Jae Suk then took the conversation on a sudden swerve into comedic territory by asking him to repeat it in Mandarin, a follow-up from a previous segment where he showed off his acting skills in various languages. Seungri was taken by surprise, but still pulled it off fluently.

He then said in Japanese, “The members all have their own unique characters, so even if I’m not around, they can still make fans happy with their individual charms,” showing off his excellent language skills.

But when asked to express the same sentiments in English, the singer cracked everyone up when he replied, in his usual Seungri-style, “BIGBANG has five members…. business.”

Meanwhile, this is the 10th year since BIGBANG’s debut, and coincidentally the fifth year since their last group appearance on “Infinite Challenge.” The group last made a guest appearance on the “Gangs Of Seoul” episode in 2011.

BIGBANG Is Hilariously Realistic (But Not Exactly Helpful) About Secret To Beating Infamous “7-Year-Curse”

BIGBANG

On the December 17 episode of MBC’s “Infinite Challenge,” BIGBANG pulled out all the stops and showed off their variety chops once more.

During the program, the cast members asked BIGBANG if they have any tips on how to beat the infamous “seven-year-curse,” referring to how idol groups tend to lose members or disband all together after about seven years.

Taeyang truthfully revealed that even they started getting tired around the seventh year, and how there was even a time where members had built up grudges but didn’t really talk them out.

Meanwhile, Daesang bluntly stated, “The reason we were able to surpass the ‘seven-year-curse’ is probably the amount of money that we make as BIGBANG…”

“Furthermore, around the seven-year mark, we embarked on our world tour. So even if we had grudges…,” Daesung hilariously remarked. He added that they instead came to the conclusion, “That’s right, we should work harder.”

On the other hand, Seungri commented, “The leader had a big role in how long we’ve lasted,” to G-Dragon’s embarrassment.

Kwanghee Beat All BIGBANG Members in the Dance Battle on Infinite Challenge

[OSEN=박소영 기자] Kwanghee had a one-one-one dance battle with BIGBANG members.

The BIGBANG special episode of Infinite Challenge was aired on December 17. On the show, Kwanghee and SEUNGRI tried to keep each other in check. Other members made them do a dance battle, and Kwanghee got a head start by dancing to BIGBANG’s “GOOD BOY”.

However, there was something off about SEUNGRI’s wave dance, which made everyone laugh. Yoo Jae Suk made fun of SEUNGRI and announced, “SEUNGRI lost”. Kwanghee danced passionately with his too slender body.

Then, it was DAESUNG’s turn. Kwanghee mimicked the original choreography of “BANG BANG BANG” well, and DAESUNG went against him with intense facial expressions and power. Kwanghee’s dance was feeble, but he was able to slit everyone’s side with his dance.

Kwanghee also went up against TAEYANG. TAEYANG wowed everyone with his dance, but it was Kwanghee who made everyone laugh with his mantis wave dance. So, it was Kwanghee’s win.

Next up was G-DRAGON. Kwanghee was confident that he would win, and other Infinite Challenge members cheered for him. G-DRAGON danced passionately to “FANTASTIC BABY”, but Kwanghee’s skeleton dance was funnier.

Last up was T.O.P. Kwanghee did a weird interpretation of the “BAE BAE” dance. T.O.P gave up looking gorgeous and did an idiot dance to “GOOD BOY”, making everyone burst into laughter.

BIGBANG reaches out to fans before T.O.P.’s enlistment: Will band regroup years later?

BIGBANG

Boy group BIGBANG is trying their best to reach out to fans before its rapper T.O.P.’s upcoming military service in February. The 10-year-old band has reportedly grossed $44 million in 2016 and has also been rated at No.54 on the Forbes list of celebrity earnings.

In an emotional interview at the Seoul headquarters of YG Entertainment, rapper T.O.P. revealed that they would try to meet as many fans as possible before the break. The five-member band is also preparing for their third LP, ‘Made The Full Album,’ which comprises of three tracks—’Fxxx It,’ ‘Last Dance’ and ‘Girlfriend’ — and eight tracks that were released as singles last year, including ‘Bae Bae’ and ‘Bang Bang Bang.’ MADE is the group’s first Korean studio album in eight years.

Within less than 24 hours after the release of MADE, the group dominated the countdown with topping the charts in 19 different countries. In South Korea, ‘Fxxx It’ and ‘Last Dance’ were placed on number one and two respectively. Internationally, the album is ranked third on iTunes album chart in the United States, while, ranking 5th in Canada. Interestingly, the group’s music video for ‘Bad Boy’ hit a whopping 100 million views on YouTube yesterday.

A slew of on-air and on-stage promotional activities have also been planned before T.O.P.’s departure in February. The remaining group members are also expected to complete their military services one by one. YG Entertainment is said to have packed a tight schedule for the band and they are leaving no stones unturned to make it a success.

Fans are worried about the future of the boys band — will they be able to regroup years later?

BIGBANG made its debut in 2006 with ‘This Love’ and rose to fame immediately for fusing eclectic, hip-hop-based sounds in mainstream K-pop. The five-member boy band — T.O.P., Taeyang, G-Dragon, Daesung, and Seungri — will hold a farewell concert Bigbang 10 The Concert: 0 To 10 Final in Seoul on Jan. 7 and 8 at the Gocheok Skydome respectively.
