BIGBANG took first and second place on SBS’s “Inkigayo” with their latest tracks “FXXK IT” and “Last Dance.”

“Inkigayo” released the rankings for the fourth week of December online as the show had been cancelled for the 2016 SBS Gayo Daejun. According to the charts, “FXXXK IT” came in at first place with a total of 9,500 points, followed by “Last Dance” with 6,826 points. In third place was Heize’s “Star” with 2,596 points.

BIGBANG has been on a roll, winning first place on various music shows, as well as topping digital music charts. They attended the 2016 SBS Gayo Daejun on December 26 and performed an epic setlist of “Last Dance,” “FXXK IT,” and “Bang Bang Bang” as the closing act to end the night on a high.

“2016 SAF GAYO-DAEJEON” was hosted on December 26 at 8:55PM at COEX D Hall located in Samsung-dong, Seoul. The MCs of the festival were Yoo Hee-yeol, Yuri from Girls’ Generation, and Baekhyun from EXO.

The finale performance of “SBS GAYO-DAEJEON” was given by BIGBANG. BIGBANG performed their new songs “LAST DANCE” and “FXXK IT”. From the visual to the attitude on the stage and live-singing, BIGBANG’s performance was undeniably the best.

The last song BIGBANG performed was “BANG BANG BANG”, an exciting dance music. Even though it was past 1AM, all the audience was electrified by BIGBANG’s performances. BIGBANG showed what a “real” performance should be like.

“2016 SAF GAYO-DAEJEON” that celebrated its 20^th anniversary this year was attended by about 270 artists including GOT7, Gugudan, Red Velvet, MAMAMOO, BTS, BLACKPINK, BTOB, BIGBANG, VIXX, SHINee, SEVENTEEN, SISTAR, CNBLUE, AOA, Apink, EXO, NCT, GFRIEND, EXID, Infinite, SECHSKIES, TWICE, Kyuhyun, CL, Yang Hee-eun, Uhm Jung-hwa, Yoon Jong-shin, LEE HI, Jung Seung-hwan, Taeyeon, HyunA, and so on.

[마이데일리=최지예 기자] Along with group BIGBANG’s finale, special performances of famous producers shined on the stage of this year’s SBS “GAYO-DAEJEON”.

On December 26 in the night, SBS “2016 SAF GAYO-DAEJEON” was hosted at COEX D Hall located in Samsung-dong, Seoul. Singer Yoo Hee-yeol, Yuri from girl group Girls’ Generation, and Baekhyun from group EXO hosted the festival as MCs.

In the festival, BIGBANG gave the finale performance, boasting their unrivalled charisma by singing “LAST DANCE” and “FXXK IT”, the double title tracks of their third full album, as well as “BANG BANG BANG” that recorded a great hit last year. BIGBANG fascinated all the audience of the festival, living up to their name as the top idol boy group in Korea.

In SBS “GAYO-DAEJEON” that celebrated its 20^th anniversary this year, special performances by famous producers fascinated the audience. Yoo Young-jin from SM Entertainment, TEDDY from YG Entertainment, Park Jin-young from JYP Entertainment, Yoon Jong-shin from mistic89, and duo 10cm presented special performances for K-pop artists which they produced,. 

ROSÉ of girl group BLACKPINK, Jihyo of girl group TWICE, and Chanyeol of EXO presented a special acoustic performance produced by 10cm. Then, group BIGBANG’s GD, CL, and rapper BewhY and Okasian poured out their intense rapping for a song produced by TEDDY. Then, girl group Apink’s Jung Eun-ji, Gugudan’s Kim Sejung, boy group Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, and Yook Sung-jae gave a ballad collaboration performance produced by Yoon Jong-shin. The next was the performance produced by Park Jin-young for girl group TWICE, GFRIEND, and GOT7. The last special performance was H.O.T’s “Wolf and Sheep” produced by Yoo Young-jin and performed by EXO and NCT.

Uhm Jung-hwa came back as a singer after eight years of absence from the music scene, by presenting performances in this year’s “GAYO-DAEJEON”. She came upon the stage with her new song “Watch Me Move”. Uhm Jung-hwa in a silver suit gave a sexy performance, boasting her sensuous figure. She changed into a black outfit for the performance of “Dreamer”, overwhelming the audience with her red lips and enchanting eyes. Then, she gave the performance of her legendary hit song “Rose of Betrayal”. After that, T.O.P appeared on the stage to perform “D.I.S.C.O” with Uhm Jung-hwa. The intense chemistry between the two caught the eyes of everyone. 

Notably, Yang Hee-eun gave a healing performance. She sang “Evergreen Tree” after saying, “We’re having a very hard time in this year of 2016. I hope we don’t lose our hope and stand up again”. Yang’s voice resonated with candle light display, to heal the hearts of the audience. 

SECHSKIES performed the new 2016 versions of “Chivalry” and “Couple”. Many other idol groups also presented fascinating performances.

Special performances of top producers raised the quality of the festival and diverse concepts gave a greater entertainment, but there were some room for improvement for “GAYO-DAEJEON” as well. Before the performance of girl group TWICE, GFRIEND’s AR was played for about five seconds. However, TWICE was not surprised and finished their performance well.

[OSEN=박현민 기자] Group BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” is still staying in No.1 on charts. If such record continues until the end of this December, BIGBANG will be the conqueror of music charts of December.

As of December 27 at 7AM, BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” is staying in No.1 on the charts of two music-streaming websites in Korea: Korea’s biggest Melon and Soribada.

Other than those two charts, the song is also taking top ranks on charts including: in the 3^rd place on Genie; 5^th on Mnet; 6^th on NAVER Music; 5^th on Monkey 3; and 9^th on Olleh Music. “LAST DANCE”, the other title track of BIGBANG’s new album, is also staying in top ranks on charts. 

That is an impressive record when considering it has been already 15 days since the album’s release on December 13. These days, songs are taken down from No.1 on charts within one or two days since their release. Experts say that BIGBANG’s remarkable record on charts is possible because they are BIGBANG.

In the meantime, BIGBANG drew keen attention for their unique and perfect performances presented in SBS “GAYO-DAEJEON” held on December 26. On January 7 and 8, 2017, BIGBANG will hold “BIGBANG10 THE CONCERT : 0.TO.10 FINAL IN SEOUL” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

BIGBANG’s T.O.P confessed that he spends the majority of his income on art pieces.

During the taping of MBC’s “Radio Star,” the singer stated, “I spend at least 95 percent of my income on buying new art.”

T.O.P revealed that he has a wide variety of artwork from artists like Andy Warhol and Kim Hwan Ki, and he has also installed a refrigeration system in his house to preserve the art pieces.

While talking about his collection, T.O.P also stated that Seungri is not allowed in his house because of a specific habit, which he explained while imitating his fellow bandmate.

The second episode of BIGBANG’s appearance on “Radio Star” will air on December 28.
