[OSEN=선미경 기자] BIGBANG member SEUNGRI revealed a charismatic poster taken with MINO of ‘WINNER’, for his upcoming release.

On July 17 at 2 PM, YG Entertainment revealed the third teaser poster for the sub-title song ‘WHERE R U FROM’ from his first official album, through their official blog(www.yg-life.com).

SEUNGRI’s masculine eyes and sophisticated styling revealed through the poster grabbed the viewers’ attention.

MINO, who participated in the song as a featuring artist, was emitting strong aura while standing next to him, raising curiosity on the first collaborative product presented by the two artists.

The song ‘WHERE R U FROM’ was co-written by SEUNGRI and MINO of WINNER. The track was composed by SEUNGRI and Future Bounce.

The song is a dance party track that pleases listeners regardless of race and gender, utilizing the globally acknowledged keyword, ‘WHERE R U FROM’. MINO’s irreplaceable charms as a featuring artist adds completion to the song.

SEUNGRI displayed strong confidence on the song ‘WHERE R U FROM’ by stating, “The fans will be pleased since the song contains my unique style”.

On MINO who collaborated with him on the song, SEUNGRI mentioned, “He’s good so it doesn’t really need explaining”, raising expectations by fans.

Alongside the amazing music he’s releasing, we can be sure he will show us his one-of-a-kind variety skills and spoil us all with hilarious stories and jokes. BIGBANG’s youngest has made us laugh out loud countless times and here’s only a few of his most entertaining moments.

Imitation of his bandmates

If BIGBANG’s maknae sees an opportunity to imitate his beloved members, he always takes the chance. From songs and dance moves to the way they talk and act – he never seems to stop.

Everything

It all started with an Instagram post showing Seungri in a white T-shirt with the word “Everything” on it, but being the extra man Seungri is, he just couldn’t stop using his most iconic sentence every time BIGBANG won a meaningful award.

Pronunciation is crucial

When Seungri visited “Ask Us Anything” with his label mates iKON, he saved the day when the cast of the program couldn’t hear the show’s name “Mari and I” properly. While talking about marijuana could’ve been a sensitive topic for him, he saved us the embarrassment and made the joke his own. The most beautiful outcome of the story is that the two powerful maknaes are actually really good friends now.

YG Entertainment’s CEO probably regretted not attending the 2016 Gaon Chart K-Pop Awards as Seungri thought it was a good idea to give a speech in his stead. GD almost collapsing from laughing too hard is all of us.

On July 12, YANG HYUN SUK wrote, “Please understand that teasers and spoilers on the MV for the title song ‘1, 2, 3!’ from SEUNGRI’s first solo album ‘THE GREAT SEUNGRI’ cannot be revealed due to the filming concept of the video”, through his social media account.

He added, “We’ll repay with quality without regret”.

Artists usually reveal spoilers and teaser videos before releasing new songs, as a promotional strategy to raise anticipation. However, SEUNGRI decided to keep his video secret, raising even higher curiosity. People are also wondering about the filming concept, which YANG HYUN SUK mentioned as the reason spoilers cannot be revealed.

The song ‘1, 2, 3!’ is a song filled with sensuous metaphors, which blend well with SEUNGRI’s character. The listeners will be able to take a glimpse at SEUNGRI’s upgraded musicality through the track.

The song was written and composed by YG’s hitmaker TEDDY. SEUNGRI also displayed his passion on his first solo album by participating in the writing and composing of the song. 24 and Seo Wonjin were credited for the composition and arrangement of the track.
