“a-nation” is one of Japan’s biggest summer festivals and spans several weekends and cities. TVXQ is notably the only Korean headliner in the festival. Other Korean artists to perform include BoA, Super Junior, EXO, WINNER, Red Velvet, Lee Hi, and NCT 127.

Seungri has been confirmed to perform at “a-nation 2018” on August 18 at the Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka. He previously performed at the festival with his fellow BIGBANG members.

Seungri’s popularity in Japan is steadily growing through his various promotions. His Japanese solo debut album “Let’s Talk About Love” ranked No. 1 on the Oricon daily album chart, and he has been active in the variety show scene. He will soon be departing for his first solo tour in Japan in August, stopping by Chiba, Fukuoka, and Osaka.

[한경닷컴=이준현 기자] BIGBANG’s SEUNGRI will make his first ever solo appearance on Japan’s largest summer music festival, ‘a-nation 2018’.

It was confirmed that SEUNGRI will appear on Japan’s largest summer festival ‘a-nation 2018’, which will be held on August 18 at Yanmar Stadium Nagai located in Osaka, Japan. He has previously appeared on the festival as part of BIGBANG, but the local fans are excited since it will be his first appearance as a solo artist.

SEUNGRI’s popularity in Japan is currently ongoing. His Japanese solo debut album ‘LET’S TALK ABOUT LOVE’ released back in 2013 was ranked at no. 1 in the Oricon Album Daily chart, capturing the ears of Japanese listeners.

Furthermore, SEUNGRI gained popularity in Japan by appearing in variety programs and dramas including TBS’ ‘Sanma No Super Karakuri TV’, Yomiuri TV’s ‘Downtown DX’, and Fuji Television’s ‘Tunnels Thanks to Everybody’. He was also a host MC on Fuji Television’s Sakigake! Ongaku Banzuke Eight’.

In addition to his appearance on ‘a-nation 2018’, SEUNGRI will hold his first solo tour in Japan, and solidify his status as a global artist. On upcoming August and September, SEUNGRI will meet the fans through his first ever solo tour in Japan titled ‘SEUNGRI 1ST SOLO TOUR 2018’, consisted of 6 concerts in 3 cities including Chiba, Fukuoka, and Osaka.

SEUNGRI, who noticed an active solo career prior to his enlistment, recently gained attention by releasing a song titled ‘Ignite’, under collaboration with world-famous DJ, Alan Walker. SEUNGRI is currently focusing on finishing his album for his solo comeback.

[텐아시아=김지원 기자] A congratulatory poster celebrating BIGBANG TAEYANG’s birthday was revealed, while he is currently serving his active military duty. Furthermore, the MV for GD X TAEYANG’s ‘GOOD BOY’ surpassed 200 million views, giving us more reason to celebrate.

Today (18^th), YG Entertainment revealed a congratulatory poster titled ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAEYANG’, to celebrate TAEYANG’s birthday while he is enlisted in the army to serve his military duty. TAEYANG’s masculine charisma and his deep eyes grabbed the fans’ attention.

Furthermore, the official MV for ‘GOOD BOY’ surpassed 200 million views on YouTube as of today at 12 AM, proving the steady love and support from global fans.

TAEYANG enlisted in the 6th Infantry Division’s recruit training center located in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do on March. He completed his 5 weeks of basic military training, and is currently on active duty after being assigned on the 19^th of last month.  

All 4 members of BIGBANG excluding SEUNGRI including T.O.P, leader G-DRAGON, TAEYANG, and DAESUNG are currently serving their active military duties. SEUNGRI is currently active with his solo career, as an artist and as a businessman.

On May 18, BIGBANG’s Seungri finally shared a proper photo with EXO’s Sehun. He also teased fans by writing, “Our relationship that only you and I know,” before revealing, “Been three years since we became friends.” The BIGBANG member added that it was an “impromptu [meeting].”

A couple weeks ago, Seungri sent food support to the set of Sehun’s upcoming web film “Dokgo Rewind,” and made everyone curious about how they knew each other. The two singers previously interacted at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards when Seungri sat on Sehun’s lap during BIGBANG’s performance of “BAE BAE.”

The MV for “Good Boy” by BIGBANG’s GD X Taeyang has reached 200 million views!

“Good Boy” was released in November 2014, and previously reached 100 million views in April 2016. As of May 18, the video has surpassed the 200 million views milestone.

Two other BIGBANG music videos have also been viewed over 200 million times. The group’s “Bang Bang Bang” MV recently hit 300 million views, while “FANTASTIC BABY” became BIGBANG’s first MV to reach 350 million views earlier this month.
