Following the release of her 4th album 'Palette', IU's much-anticipated collaboration with BIGBANG's G-Dragon swept the music charts all across as title song "Palette" took the number one spot on every real time chart.
As expected, "Palette" achieved an all-kill immediately upon release.

IU is officially back!
On April 21, the singer dropped her long-awaited album and title track “Palette.” Her new song features rapping from BIGBANG’s G-Dragon himself.
The lyrics repeat “I like it. I’m 25” as well as “I’m truly fine.” References to her past are included as the music video features IU as an 18-year-old as well as a cheshire cat.

On April 21, IU held a comeback showcase celebrating the release of her fourth studio album “Palette” and discussed what working with G-Dragon for her comeback album was like
Her title song “Palette” describes one’s beautiful youth and features G-Dragon’s unique rap. The singer expressed how much this song means to her, explaining, “You can tell by its lyrics that this song is about me. It’s a continuation of one of my songs from my previous album ’23.’ I think I know what my interests are for sure now. The lyrics express how I’ve come to know myself better.”
IU also talked about how she felt featuring G-Dragon in her song, saying, “I asked him [to feature in my album] because he’s laid back and kind-hearted and he gladly agreed. I was able enjoy recording thanks to him. I was grateful to have received such a good rap feature that exceeded my expectations.”
Meanwhile, IU’s new album “Palette” will be released on April 21 at 6 p.m. KST.
‘The show’s description: “To celebrate their 10th year anniversary, BIGBANG is planning an extra special reunion for their VIP fans. On April 18, YG Entertainment confirmed that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon will be releasing a new album soon!
A source from YG Entertainment stated, “G-Dragon is continuously working on his solo album. The release plans have not been decided yet, but the artist is going back and forth from YG Entertainment and The Black Label Studio to work on his songs.”
The Black Label is a label that was created by YG Entertainment’s producer Teddy.
The agency added, “G-Dragon is planning to release his new album before his solo concert in June.”
On the same day that the news was announced, G-Dragon uploaded a photo of himself in the recording studio on his Instagram. In the photo, the singer looks quite different than usual with his beard.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon will be holding his solo concert titled “G-DRAGON 2017 CONCERT: ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” on June 10 in Seoul.

TV personality and writer Yoo Byung Jae talked about his label YG Entertainment.
Back in 2015, Yoo Byung Jae gained attention for signing with one of the BIG 3 labels and becoming labelmates with superstars such as BIGBANG.
On the April 17 broadcast of ‘Abnormal Summit‘, MC Sung Si Kyung commented on the topic, and said, “It became a hot issue when you signed with a big agency.”
Yoo Byung Jae humorously responded, “It’s still a mystery to me as well. They just reached out to me and I said great.” Yoo Byung Jae also shared that he’s preparing to try standup comedy.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has a new look!
On April 16, he posted a picture on his Instagram with an image that is quite different from what we are used to seeing from him. His usual soft but sharp styling is gone to be replaced with a scruffy, tough one instead.
Even though he looks rough around the edges with the new look, he still looks as fashionable as ever.

The BIGBANG bond is as strong as ever!
On April 15, Taeyang attended Daesung’s Japanese solo concert at MetLife Dome. He posted two photos on his Instagram, including one of him in the crowd and one with Daesung backstage. He holds a Daesung lightstick in both photos, showing his cute way of supporting his teammate.
Meanwhile, Daesung’s Japanese solo mini album “D-Day” has been topping charts since its release on April 12. He is currently on his first solo dome tour at MetLife Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka.

G-Dragon‘s third solo concert went on sale on April 13 and tickets sold out in less than ten minutes.
G-Dragon’s solo concert is already a major success. 65,000 tickets sold out in a matter of minutes when they first went on sale at 8:00 PM KST. G-Dragon’s solo concert is titled: “ACT III – M.O.T.T.E” or also referred to as “Mother’s Womb.”
The concert is going to take place on June 10 at the Seoul Worldcup Stadium.
This will most likely be G-Dragon last solo concert before he enlists in the army in the end of this year if insider sources are correct. This is also a highly significant concert for G-Dragon and fans because this is his first concert since 2013.
His first concert was in 2009 and his second concert was in 2013. Both of his last concerts also sold out at equal lightning fast times.
Coincidentally, G-Dragon last studio album was released in 2013, the same year of his last concert. Many are speculating that he will release a studio album to coincide with his upcoming concert or tease some of the songs at the concert.

Sharing her new album’s track list, IU revealed that BIGBANG’s G-Dragon featured in her title track “Palette”!
IU will be returning with double title tracks. G-Dragon featured in and wrote the rap lyrics for the first song, “Palette,” which was written and composed by IU herself. The second title track is “To Your Name,” (literal title) for which IU wrote the lyrics in collaboration with hit lyricist Kim I Na.
Other popular musicians like Oh Hyuk, Sam Kim, and Sunwoo Jung Ah also lent a helping hand to IU in making her album even better.
IU’s fourth album “Palette” will be released on April 21 at 6 p.m. KST.
