Weekly Idol’s One-hour Special with BIGBANG

[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] BIGBANG even had to do cleaning on MBC every1’s Weekly Idol.

On January 2, the Weekly Idol crew posted a series of pictures on the show’s official Tweeter page along with the comment, “We’ve made BIGBANG do random play dance”, “We’ve made BIGBANG play the apple game”, “We’ve made BIGBANG jump rope” and “We’ve even made BIGBANG clean. We went all the way as if this is our last day!”

Pictures featured BIGBANG playing the signature games of Weekly Idol such as the apple game, roll the red carpet game, group jump rope, and random play dance.

According to the crew, BIGBANG members each showed off their wit and charm as only seasoned idols can right from the start.

The first half of Weekly Idol’s special episode with BIGBANG will be aired at 6 PM on January 4.

BIGBANG Takes the No.1 Place in the First Week of 2017 and SECHSKIES Says Goodbye

[서울뉴스1스타=김나희 기자] BIGBANG becomes no.1 on Inkigayo following last week although the show wasn’t aired that week.

On SBS’s Inkigayo that aired at 12:10 PM on January 1, BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” won against its “LAST DANCE” and Bolppalgan Puberty’s “Tell Me You Love Me” and took the no.1 spot in the first week of 2017.

After being announced as the winner, G-DRAGON said, “I’m happy to win the trophy on the first day of 2017″. TAEYANG said, “I’d like to thank the YG staff, our fans, and the members.” T.O.P said, “After our appearance on next week’s Inkigayo, it will  be difficult to see all five of us together for the time being. We’ll come back with better music. Happy birthday SEUNGRI!” Earlier on, BIGBANG captured the hearts of the audience with outstanding performance and singing.

Meanwhile, SECHSKIES put on its goodbye stage. Members said, “Time went by so quickly. We have a lot to say, but we’ll save it for our stage.” The group performed “THREE WORDS” for the last time and promised they will come back soon.

Bae Dahae also made a comeback on that day.  She released her first solo single in six years “Knock Knock Knock” and showed off her beautiful voice. The song is about a woman who is heartbroken because her lover left her abruptly.

Apink put on a special stage for its fans and sang “The Star of Stars”, and Seventeen sang “Boomboom”. The teenager group Bonusbaby put on a cute performance singing its debut song “Urikiri” and won a big applause from the audience.

Laboum, UP10TION, Superkid, Between, Pentagon, Victon, Snuper, Baby Boo, Voisper, HighSoul, and Top Secret appeared on Inkigayo that day.

BIGBANG Tops the Music Charts with “FXXK IT” for 20 Days–Breaking the Record in the Year of the Rooster

[동아닷컴=전효진 기자] BIGBANG has topped the music charts for the 20th day.

“FXXK IT,” one of the two title songs of the third regular album “MADE THE FULL ALBUM” by BIGBANG has claimed the first place on the daily music chart of Melon, the largest music streaming website of Korea, on January 1, 2017.

Not only that, BIGBANG showcased yet another awesome performance and won the no. 1 spot for two weeks in a row on SBS Inkigayo broadcasted the same day.

With such unmatched popularity, BIGBANG will hold a concert at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on January 7-8, which will be a great opportunity for the fans to no. 1 K-Pop star group.

BIGBANG Wins “Inkigayo” With “FXXK IT”

Following last week’s win, BIGBANG has gotten No. 1 again on the January 1 episode of “Inkigayo.” The group won with their song “Last Dance,” edging Bolbbalgan4’s “Tell Me You Love Me” and their own “FXXK IT.”

The group thanked their fans, staff, and fellow members, and T.O.P, mentioning his impending enlistment, said, “After ‘Inkigayo’ on January 15, there won’t be a BIGBANG performance for a while. We’ll return an improved group. Happy birthday to Seungri.”

This week’s “Inkigayo” was also SECHSKIES’ goodbye stage. They said, “We don’t know how the time passed. We have a lot to say, and we’ll show you through performances.”

Also performing this week were LABOUM, UP10TION, Beat Win, PENTAGON, VICTON, Snuper, Bonus Baby, Apink, and more.

Everyone must be listening to BIGBANG’s “FXXK IT” because it’s maintained it’s spot at the top of the Melon charts for 19 whopping days straight!

The 1st title track from BIGBANG’s ‘MADE THE FULL ALBUM’, released this past December 13, previously achieved a perfect all-kill on all 8 major music charts approximately 2 days after it’s release. The boys of BIGBANG are growing up!

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon might only be 28 to the rest of us, but in Korea, he is officially turning 30 when the clock strikes midnight.

The rapper sentimentally bid farewell to the decade that had been so good to him by posting one last selfie on his personal Instagram account. Alongside the image is a caption that reads, “The last day of my splendid twenties.”

G-Dragon, as well as the rest of the group, ended the year in a pretty big way. On December 12, the boys released their third full-length album “MADE.” The title track “FXXK IT” also finished off 2016 at the top of the Melon music chart, where it has held onto the number one position for 19 consecutive days.

Defconn Chooses BIGBANG As The Idol Group With The Best Greeting

Defconn was recently full of praise for BIGBANG’s greeting manners!

On the December 30 episode of Mnet’s music talk show “Mixtape,” Hello Venus and ASTRO appeared as guests to talk about the “Idol Golden Age.”

During the show, Defconn chose BIGBANG as the group that greets the best. “BIGBANG greets really well,” he said. “So when other juniors greet me, it’s not as satisfying. Jiyong (G-Dragon) really bows 90 degrees. That’s why he’s cool.”

Lee Sang Min commented, “Of course there are strict rules of etiquette. You have to greet well, if you don’t want to mess up. It’s like building a savings account.”

[Issue IS] iKON Named the Best New Artist at the Japan Record Awards 7 Years after BIGBANG

[일간스포츠=이미현 기사] iKON won the Best New Artist Award at the Japan Record Awards.

On December 30, the 48th TBS Japan Record Awards took place at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, and iKON was named as the Best New Artist.

The last time a Korean singer won the Best New Artist Award was when BIGBANG was named as the winner in 2009. Yang Soo Kyung also won the same award back in 1990. Also, it has been five years since a Korean singer won a Japan Record Award.

The Japan Record Awards is awarded by the Japan Composer’s Association to recognize those with outstanding achievements in the music industry. The award show was first held in 1958 and is aired live on TBS on December 30 every year.  

iKON debuted last September with “MY TYPE”, which became a no.1 hit. Then, the group released ”RHYTHM TA”. iKON kicked off its fan meeting tour titled “iKON FAN MEETING 2015 in JAPAN – iKONTACT” in October last year. Since then, the group has held fan meetings in Tokyo, the Aichi Prefecture, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Osaka and met 26,000 fans.

Defconn chose BIGBANG as the top idols when it comes to bowing on the December 30th episode of Mnet music talk show ‘Mixtape‘.
Defconn said of the YG Entertainment group, “BIGBANG are very good at greeting and bowing. That’s why when other hoobaes bow to me, I’m not satisfied. G-Dragon bows 90 degrees. That’s why it’s so cool.” Lee Sung Min then added, “It’s expected that they’d be so polite. You have to bow well if you don’t want to be ruined. It’s like a deposit.”
