What do you think of when you put ?Fantastic Duo? and Taeyang together?

?Fantastic Baby,? of course!

In a preview for the first episode of SBS?s new variety program ?Fantastic Duo,? BIGBANG?s Taeyang puts on a performance for the MCs, the contestants, and the audience.

As you might expect, the theme song is just BIGBANG?s ?Fantastic Baby? with the lyrics altered slightly. Still, it works to get everyone pumped up and Taeyang definitely puts his own spin on the well-known track.

The first episode of ?Fantastic Duo? airs on April 17 at 4:50 p.m. KST. The pilot episode aired as a Lunar New Year special and operates under the format of a top singer being paired with an ordinary citizen to sing a duet.

SBS has released a preview of ‘Fantastic Duo’s new logo song!

The logo song has been crafted as a remake of BIGBANG’s “Fantastic Baby”, with Taeyang, who will be appearing on the show as a panelist, presenting a special live stage! The original song was slightly altered with changes in the lyrics. The song’s exciting beat and Taeyang’s amazing vocals match perfectly with the new show.

Taeyang’s episode of ‘Fantastic Duo’ is scheduled to air on April 17! Meanwhile, take a look at the special remake of “Fantastic Baby” in the preview clip!

BIGBANG proves the power of K-Pop as they reach #2 on ‘2016 Time 100 Poll’!

According to the results on April 14, the group placed second by gaining 2.9% of the votes. Currently Bernie Sanders is #1 with 3.3%, while Aung San Suu Kyi, who is the State Counsellor of Myanmar and leader of the National League for Democracy, takes third with 2.2%. Barack Obama then comes next by winning 2% of the votes.

Other great figures such as Malala Yousafzai, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Michelle Obama, Pope Francis, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more continue on the ranking. 2NE1’s CL is also spotted down the list with 1% of votes. Out of the celebrities, BIGBANG is #1 on the poll.

G-Dragon and Taeyang?s ?Good Boy? Music Video Surpasses 100 Million Views on YouTube

BIGBANG has?made?yet another impressive accomplishment.

On April 14, BIGBANG members G-Dragon and Taeyang?s ?Good Boy? music video?passed 100 million views on YouTube, a record many dream of reaching.?YG Entertainment released an image?on their official blog in celebration of this achievement.

The music video was originally released in November 2014, and since then, has consistently broken its own record time and time again. It reached 10 million on December 2, 2014, and broke the 50 million mark a few months later, in April 2015.

This latest achievement marks BIGBANG?s third music video, after ?Fantastic Baby? and ?Bang Bang Bang,? to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, making them South Korea?s first boy group to have three music videos pass this mark.

Directed by world-famous?Colin Tilley, the music video for ?Good Boy? is?known for its unique camerawork and extravagant visual effects. It was recognized overseas by distinguished international press such as Billboard, FUSE TV, Complex magazine, and HYPETRAK.

Meanwhile, BIGBANG is currently in the midst of their ?2016 BIGBANG MADE [V.I.P] TOUR,? which began?on March 11.

Just a few months after giving birth to her first child, actress Jun Ji Hyun will be returning to her activities in May starting with a CF shoot with G-Dragon.

In February, Jun Ji Hyun gave birth to her first child and?son after four years of marriage with her husband. After taking time off to take care of her child, she is reported to be returning to work starting in May as the CF filming schedule?could not be put off any longer, resulting in her shortened maternity leave.

An advertisement industry source told?Sports Seoul on April 13th that between the months of May and June, CFS to be released during the summer are filmed.?“For Jun Ji Hyun,” continued the source,?“there’s a lot of?CFs [to film] from renewed and newly signed contracts. She’s getting ready to begin shooting again next month.”

It is further revealed that one of the CF is for the beauty brand Shinsegae Duty Free Shop with G-Dragon of BIGBANG.

Jun Ji Hyun Reportedly to End Maternity Leave by Filming Ad Co-Starring BIGBANG?s G-Dragon

After being on?maternity leave for several months, Jun Ji Hyun is planning to make a return to the public eye soon, and her first project will reportedly be an advertisement co-starring BIGBANG?s G-Dragon!

Jun Ji Hyun went on maternity leave last October, and gave birth to her son this February. She is said to be?preparing to return to work in May because she is no longer able to push back the filming of commercials for her signed brands.

A source in the advertisement industry told Sports Seoul on April 13, ?May to June is when new commercials for the summer have to be filmed. In Jun Ji Hyun?s case, she has a lot of commercials for renewed contracts, as well as new contracts. She?s getting ready to begin filming again starting next month.?

The source adds, ?She has shoots?planned for fashion and beauty brands, and the very first shoot will be for Shinsegae Duty Free Shop with BIGBANG?s G-Dragon.?

According to a source from the entertainment industry, Jun Ji Hyun has been flooded with scripts for television shows and films during her maternity leave, but no decisions have been made yet about what her next work will be.

YG Entertainment?s past and present artists reunite at Baekkyoung?s wedding

YG Entertainment, past and present, all reunited as they attended the wedding ceremony of 1TYM member, Song Baekkyoung.?

On April 9th, Song Baekkyoung became the third 1TYM member to wed as he married his girlfriend of 14 years. As the festivities started, YG Entertainment?s artists and other attendees posted photos from the event, which captured the interest of their fans.

Among the attendees were 1TYM?s Teddy, Jinhwan and Teddy, former labelmate Se7en, BIGBANG?s G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri, Daesung, 2NE1?s Dara, Bom and more.

Netizens, however, cannot help but comment on the absent YG Entertainment artists. T.O.P is currently in Germany to film for his latest movie, while CL remains busy in the United States. Minzy, who recently announced her departure from the group and agency, was also not present.

YG Family Gathers to Celebrate Song Baek Kyung?s Wedding

YG Entertainment?s original hip hop group 1TYM all met up together for the first time in 11 years to celebrate member Song Baek Kyung?s wedding.

Song Baek Kyung got married on April 9 in a ceremony in Gangnam, Seoul, with a non-celebrity woman two years older than he is. The two of them have been dating for 14 years and had a sunbae-hoobae relationship as postmodern music majors at Kyung Hee University.

The rest of the YG family also gathered to celebrate the event, with Akdong Musician performing as the wedding singers. Akdong Musician agreed to perform at the ceremony at Yang Hyun Suk?s request.

BIGBANG and 2NE1 also joined their sunbaes and hoobaes at the event, with the exception of T.O.P who was filming a movie and CL who is currently working in the United States.

Song Baek Kyung wrote the previous day on social media, ?I?m finally getting married. Thank you.? He also posted a picture of the congratulatory message that Yang Hyun Suk had sent him.

BANG! All the artists in Fuse’s Battle of the Pop Fans 2016 showed up in full force to prove themselves the No. 1 fanbase during this March Madness season. And this season’s MVP was none other than the BIGBANG fans. After millions of votes cast, pushing the K-pop kings through all five brackets, BIGBANG’s VIPs are officially the No. 1 pop fanbase of 2016!
When the initial bracket launched in March there were 32 huge fan groups competing for the title. Needless to say, this victory was no easy feat for VIPs fans, so here’s to you!

In honor of the boys and their fans’ triumph, let’s look back at their journey to the top:
In Round 1, VIPs were up against Selena Gomez’s notoriously passionate Selenators, but blew past her with 70 percent of the votes. In Round 2, BIGBANG went against another Disney darling, competing against Demi Lovato’s Lovatics and snagged 73 percent of the votes.
Almost shockingly, Jennifer Lopez’s longtime fanbase was no match for BIGBANG as the group garnered nearly 80 percent of the votes in Round 3. But Round 4 was truly a gamechanger when the group barely surpassed Pentatonix, defeating them with 66 percent of the votes.
Finally, in Round 5, it all came down to BIGBANG’s VIPs versus the Britney Spears Army. This round brought so many passionate fans together that is overloaded our servers and we had to go to start counting the votes on Twitter! Even with the new method, BIGBANG fans came out in full support to make sure their boys ruled at No. 1.
