G-Dragon showcases his luxurious food stash in “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”

On the September 7th episode of JTBC’s Please Take Care of My RefrigeratorG-Dragongave fans a peek into his luxury food items.

To the surprise of the MCs and guest chefs, the BIGBANG member’s refrigerator was stocked with high quality and expensive goods. Most notably, the MCs discovered caviar, truffles, and foie gras.

During the discovery, a guest chef discussed and analyzed the quality of G-Dragon’s “snacks,” emphasized by glorious and dramatic sound effects. Notably, he had truffle from Paris that led everyone to stand up, especially when he shared that he sprinkled flakes on his breakfast fried eggs.

Although giving some assistance to the MCs, G-Dragon maintained a smiling face throughout the segment especially when the MCs tasted the caviar. Fellow memberTaeyang appeared amused by the happenings as well.

[OSEN=박소영 기자] BIGBANG is not only dominating the music charts but also has unrivaled MU views on Youtube. Indeed, they are the king of K-pop.

As of 4 PM on September 5, the Youtube views for their “LOSER” MV surpassed 58 million. The MV was released four months ago on May 1. The view count for the “LOSER” MV stands unchallenged even amidst the popularity of various K-pop groups such as Girls’ Generation, Exo, Red Velvet, and Bangtan Boys.

The MV for BIGBANG’s “BANG BANG BANG” – which was released a month after their “LOSER” MV- surpassed 54 million views on Youtube. It can be said that BIGBANG’s MVs are in fierce competition for the No. 1 place in Youtube views.

The “BAE BAE” MV – which was released at the same time with the “LOSER” MV”- surpassed 40 million Youtube views and ranked fourth. The “SOBER” MV surpassed 26 million views and ranked 9th. Out of the top ten MVs that recorded the biggest Youtube views, four are BIGBANG’s MVs.

BIGBANG’s “WE LIKE TO PARTY” MV – which was released in June – ranked 11th passing the 25 million mark. Their “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE” MV -the most recently released MV of BIGBANG – surpassed 20 million views, and took the 15th place. GD&T.O.P’s “ZUTTER” MV also posted 13.3 million views putting the MV at the 24th place.

BIGBANG has been releasing two new singles since May and has taken over the charts during the summer. They were unrivaled not only on the charts of music-streaming sites but also the charts of TV shows.

Their great popularity shows no sign of declining. Their next new album with all of the members participating is not released yet, and the “MADE” series songs are still high up on the charts. Without any doubt, BIGBANG is equal to none in terms of Youtube views.

BIGBANG continues to dominate with their worldwide popularity, especially on YouTube.

BIGBANG’s “LOSER” reached 58 million views as of 4 p.m. on September 5. It has consistently been a fan favorite, steadily growing in view counts for the past four months since its release. Despite competition with groups like Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet, and BTS, they have continued to secure first place.

BANG BANG BANG,” which was released a month after, also has a view count of 54.3 million. Even their own music videos are competing against each other, after having dominated music charts.

BAE BAE” also has over 40.4 million views. “SOBER,” which was released in July, is currently standing at 26.8 million.

WE LIKE TO PARTY,” released in June, likewise has impressive views, reaching 24.7 million. “LETS NOT FALL IN LOVE,” one of the latest to be released, is already at 21 million. Even T.O.P and G-Dragon’s unit alone was able to reach 13.3 million views with their song “ZUTTER.”

BIGBANG has been dominating the music market for the summer by releasing two new songs each month. The songs have not only dominated music charts but ranking shows and trophies as well. Even though the group’s final completed album has not been released yet, their popularity has yet to die down.

G-Dragon Confirms Break Up; What's Next for the BIGBANG Star?

It was not long ago that G-Dragon's split with model/actress Kiko Mizuhara flooded the media. While it was never confirmed if Jiyong was indeed dating Kiko, their alleged break-up has perhaps raised hopes for his fans.

And why not? GD has taken on his new avatar as a virtual boyfriend through Naver's "V" app. On Wednesday, the Korean rapper was his playful self on his live streaming show, "1+1=GD." Jiyong looked extremely comfortable and cheerful as he lay on his bed and chatted with his loyal fandom.

If G-Dragon's fans expected to talk to him about his music, BIGBANG's recent world tour or even about his bromance with band mate Taeyang, they were in for a surprise. The usually reticent G-Dragon opened up about his love life and said, "I don't have a girlfriend. And I'm going to assume you guys don't have boyfriends either and talk as if I'm video-chatting with my girlfriend."

GD also revealed that he is quite shy and said he is very "charming" when he is with his girlfriend, but the rapper doesn't act the same way when he is in public, reported Kpopstarz.

For now,  Jiyong seems to enjoy single life, as he is busy with quite a few projects in the pipeline. Recently, GD collaborated with Italian footwear designer Giuseppe Zanotti to launch a limited edition of men and women's footwear, according to fashion blog, WWD.

The rapper's live stream show on "V" app is part of his band's effort to celebrate their nine-year anniversary. G-Dragon's "1+1=GD" will take place place every Wednesday at 11pm KST.

Following G-DRAGON who started off the private broadcasting, TAEYANG does the broadcasting on the 9 at 11pm. Before that, the page of the TAEYANG’s V-APP private broadcasting was opened, under a unique title of “TAEYANG’s I’m going now, to eat”. A fan will invite TAEYANG to his/her home to eat together. Right after the unique theme was unveiled on the 28, fans have been paying keen attention.

On the 2 this month, G-DRAGON hosted his private broadcasting under the theme of “One plus one equals Jiyong-I – Let’s not do anything”, to enjoy a big popularity by showing his comfortable and easy-going appeal. TAEYANG will communicate with fans, showing a new appeal different from GD on the 9.

The opportunity to see “Jiyong-i”, not “G-DRAGON” itself was a very unique item. BIGBANG is an idol group who is captivating the world. G-Dragon of BIGBANG and the world renowned Italian shoes designer Giuseppe Zanotti are meeting to launch a limited-edition collection of shoes.

The W Korea Magazine boasts through Instagram with a comment saying, “This is the moment the celebrity shoes designer Giuseppe Zanotti and G-Dragon are meeting in Paris!”

The photo shows them with arms around each other. You can easy going and friendly nature of the meeting. G-Dragon shows off his unique fashion style in the photo. The W Korea Magazine notes that their collaboration story will be featured in the upcoming October issue.

About his experience working with G-Dragon, Zanotti is quoted as saying, “I am used to working with celebrities around the globe, and my collaboration with G-Dragon is something that we wanted to do as he is currently one of the biggest stars in Korea with a huge following in Asia.” He adds, “He has a unique style in playing his music. I find it really impressive, and our cooperation means a thrilling challenge to me. I love to work with other artists and brainstorm on the creative process.”

About the shoes G-Dragon comments, “These shoes turned out exactly how I wanted. It’s not just girls or women who get excited and worked up over pretty shoes. I think men can feel that way, too, and I think everyone will feel that way about these shoes.”

The limited-edition collection will be available at select Giuseppe Zanotti stores around the world and online starting October. There are two styles of shoes that will be launched in unisex styles. A lace-up and a loafer. These high end shoes will retail at upwards of $600-800 per pair.

Giuseppe Zanotti, G-Dragon Collaborate on Footwear Capsule

POP TAKE: Giuseppe Zanotti has taken a cue from eastern pop culture.

The Italian footwear designer teamed up with Korean pop-star G-Dragon, frontman of the K-pop group BIGBANG, to launch a limited-edition collection of men’s and women’s shoes.

In keeping with the Asian celebrity’s flamboyant image, the capsule includes two unisex styles — a lace-up shoe and a loafer — each coming in a black version embellished with multicolor glitter and a lightweight rubber sole inspired by Eighties footwear style. The loafers will retail at $695, while the lace-up version will be sold at $775.

“I am used to working with celebrities around the globe, and my collaboration with G-Dragon is something that we wanted to do as he is currently one of the biggest stars in Korea with a huge following in Asia,” Zanotti said. “He has a unique style in playing his music. I find it really impressive, and our cooperation means a thrilling challenge to me. I love to work with other artists and brainstorm on the creative process.”

G-Dragon Becomes a Virtual Boyfriend for Fans

On September 2, G-Dragon greeted his fans through the Naver V app and showed a more relaxed and approachable side of himself.

For this broadcast G-Dragon basically just relaxes and gives a sneak peek into his daily life. He wears a yellow knit sweater and converses with his fans in a very comfortable manner.

During the broadcast, he says, “If I have a girlfriend, I have a lot of aegyo,” and attacks the fans with his cuteness. He also lets fans have a virtual date with him as he stares into the camera and acts like a boyfriend. He films the broadcast like he’s on a video call with them and is very caring and sweet towards them.

When the time comes to have one-on-one calls with some lucky fans, he makes them smile by being very real and not following a script. When G-Dragon realizes that the first caller is a fanboy, he is caught off guard but it makes his fans enjoy it even more.
