Kwanghee Reveals He Stays in Touch With G-Dragon and Taeyang

I got to sing a new musical genre that I never got to sing as a ZE:Amember. It was a great experience for me. A great chance for me to work hard and show everyone that I’m a singer.” He adds, “It’s so amazing to get to know G-Dragon and Taeyang whom I’ve been such a fan of.” When asked if they still keep in touch, he responds right away, “Yes, we can’t lose touch. We’re getting together soon.”

Through “Infinity Challenge Music Festival 2015,” Kwanghee was able to make himself more widely known as a new cast member of the show. Is he feeling more at home with the show? To that question, Kwanghee says, “The pressure is still there. I haven’t done enough yet. I only got to be on the Classic, the Delivery, and the Music Festival. I’m always nervous.”

Even after landing his spot on “Infinity Challenge,” he has continued working on other shows like KBS 2TV’s “Vitamin,” EBS’s “The Best Recipes,” KBS W’s “Beauty Bible 2015,” validating his nickname, “Variety Show Idol.”

When asked if he has a desire to be on even more popular programs, he replies,”I believe in loyalty. Other producers have complimented me saying how funny I am since I started to appear on ‘Infinity Challenge.’ I’m more motivated to work harder on other programs thanks to ‘Infinity Challenge.’ However, I do feel the pressure. I’m afraid the producers of other shows I’m on might think I’m not performing my best compared to my work on ‘Infinity Challenge.’”

He briefly touches on the topic of being in a slump. “The tables turn quickly in the world of variety shows. People wonder if I’m not popular anymore if I stop appearing on popular programs. I wouldn’t call it a slump, but I did have a tough period in my life. I had to appear happy and positive all the time, but I couldn’t stand being compared to other successful peers.”

Speaking of working as a singer versus working as a variety show star, Kwanghee notes, “These two fields are so different, yet I feel like I can find my own niche while focusing on doing good work. I started out as an idol star, but I have more fun when I emcee or appear on variety shows. I feel more alive when I’m emceeing. I also feel energized when I work with members who started out at the same time as me.”

He also conveys his heartfelt gratitude toward ZE:A members who cheered him on during “Infinity Challenge Music Festival 2015.” He says they really enjoyed the show and even suggested that we get back together to do a similar song. However, he concludes by saying that the nine member group has quite a different style that is uniquely their own.

On the August 31 broadcast of JTBC’s food variety program “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,” BIGBANG members G-Dragon and Taeyang made an appearance as the special guests and revealed their refrigerator to viewers.

During the broadcast, Jung Hyung Don announced, “The time has finally come. I told them to come and they really came,” introducing the two guests. As soon as G-Dragon emerged, Jung Hyung Don stood straight up and welcomed his “younger brother.”

Soon after, the two began to play a game of ‘push and pull’ (playing hard to get) with one another. G-Dragon introduced himself, saying, “I’m Jung Hyung Don’s man of the past (ex), GD.” However, he went on to explain if Jung Hyung Don had anything to do with his decision to guest on the show: “I didn’t pay attention to Jung Hyung Don because I’m not interested. [?????=?? ??] Idol boy group BIGBANG who is doing world tour “MADE” has successfully wrapped up their China tour in 11 Chinese cities, which is the highest-ever number for a Korean singer.

BIGBANG’s China tour that began in Guangzhou on May 30 and 31 has held concerts in Beijing, Shanghai, Dailan, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Chendu, Hangzhou, Changsa, and finally in Chongqing at Chongqing International Expo Center on August 30, to round off the three-month grand tour. The tour has been very successful, drawing 180,000 fans in 11 cities.

Notably, Chongqing subway’s sixth Expo line was filled with BIGBANG fans who gathered from early in the morning to finale concert of BIGBANG’s China tour that began on the 30 at 7pm, and crowd holding crown rods, the symbol of BIGBANG, was filling up the space out of the gate of the subway station.

Fans in Chongqing waited for BIGBANG’s appearance on the stage, singing along the music video of BIGBANG’s new song before the beginning of the concert. When the main video of “MADE” tour that announced the beginning of the concert started, fans stood on the seats to fully enjoy themselves.

While BIGBANG raised fans’ expectations  by giving their first visit to different cities in China, including Chongqing, BIGBANG started the concert by performing “BANG BANG BANG”. Then, they went on to captivate the audience, performing “TONIGHT” and “STUPID LIAR”. 



Just as BIGBANG prepared for their performances enthusiastically, their fans in Chongqing prepared a variety of events for BIGBANG. For the stage of “IF YOU”, fans shed the flash light from their cell phones toward BIGBANG. When BIGBANG performed “LIAR”, fans sang along the song, holding red placards with a phrase “HAVE A 9TH DAY”. [??????=??? ??] Hong Seok-Cheon, one of the chefs of “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” show, posted a photo taken at the shooting of the show on his Instagram.

On the 30, Hong posted a photo on his Instagram, saying, “The ‘Refrigerator’ show finally opens up the refrigerator of GD and TAEYANG. This episode will be super-ultra-trilling one, so you can look forward to it. GD and TAEYANG are always the best”.

On August 30, to give fans a sneak peek, Hong Suk Chun posted a picture on Instagram along with the caption, “’Please Take Care of My Refrigerator.” G-Dragon and Taeyang’s refrigerators will finally be revealed this Monday night. In the month of August, BIGBANG achieved some amazing record-breaking deals. “LET’S NOT FALL IN LOVE” unveiled at 0 hour of Aug 5 instantly topped 8 major charts on Melon, Bugs, Olleh, Naver and more along with the other track “ZUTTER.” It also topped 16 iTunes around the world in Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia and more.
