Sean praised his YG Entertainment labelmate Seungri for his maturity and good heart.

As you may have already read, the BIGBANG member recently participated in a year-end briquette charity alongside Sean. Sean posted the above photo to Instagram on December 30 with the message,"Seungri, who was just the maknae getting ready for BIGBANG 10 years ago, is now becoming a fine adult who knows how to return the love he's received by sharing with people who need it."

Sean added, "I was so surprised and thankful when he said that he would give out 30,000 briquettes, but I was more touched when he said he would personally give out 100,000 more. BIGBANG did very well this year, and I hope that they're more healthy and amazing in 2016. Hyung will do my best supporting you! Seungri, fighting!"

BIGBANG will be saying adieu to 2015 in front of 1.1 billion viewers through the 2015-2016 Hunan TV New Year Concert in China on December 31. 

The Hunan TV New Year Concert, taking place at the Beijing National Stadium, will be broadcast throughout China, and the New Year special draws 1.1 billion viewers. It first aired in December 2003 and records the highest viewer ratings among New Year specials every year.

This year, China's top stars Huang Xiao Ming, Karen Mok, Li Yuchun and TFBOYS are set to appear. 

BIGBANG will take the stage last, before the countdown to the New Year, to perform Bang Bang Bang, We Like 2 Party, Bad Boy and Fantastic Baby. 

When Hunan TV announced the news of BIGBANG's appearance via Weibo, Hunan TV's Weibo ascended to number one most popular Weibo, demonstrating the explosive interest in the group. 

Following the Hunan TV New Year Concert, BIGBANG will be meeting with fans at the BIGBANG 2016 Beijing Fan Meeting, taking place at the Beijing MasterCard Center on January 1. Tickets to the fan meeting sold out within five minutes, demonstrating BIGBANG's popularity in China. 

Following the New Year concert and fan meeting, BIGBANG will continue on their world tour, performing at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka from January 9-11, the Yahuoku Dome in Fukuoka on February 6 and 7 as well as the Tokyo Dome on February 23 and 24.

BIGBANG‘s Seungri has done a thoughtful deed to wrap up 2015.

According to an affiliate, Seungri held a Christmas donation party on December 24 and invited G-Dragon, Jung Joon Young, FTISLAND‘s Choi Jong Hun, Ji Suk Jin, Han Suk Joon, and more.

All the profits of this party went towards Seoul’s coal bank and on December 29, Seungri participated in Sean‘s coal community service event to deliver coal in the countryside. Fans are very touched to have heard him do this even though he has quite a busy schedule.

As 2015 draws to a close and we head into the New Year, BIGBANG's Seungri donated 130,000 charcoal briquettes for those in need of warmth. 

Seungri, who had a particularly active year promoting BIGBANG's new album and going on a world tour, decided to donate 30,000 charcoal briquettes to give back the support he received from fans and even spent time volunteering at the Seoul Charcoal Bank on December 29.

Seungri, who has volunteered with YG Family in the past, showed up early to volunteer in the cold weather alongside Jinusean's Sean and other celebrities. 

Seungri then donated 100,000 more charcoal briquettes on the spot in order to share the love he has received with more people. As such, including the original 30,000 briquettes Seungri originally intended to donate, he donated a total of 130,000 briquettes. 

Meanwhile, Seungri will continue on BIGBANG's world tour with the members, performing at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka from January 9-11, the Yahuoku Dome in Fukuoka on February 6 and 7 as well as the Tokyo Dome on February 23 and 24.

As 2015 comes to an end, we imagine a big smile spread across BIGBANG member G-Dragon's face. And why not? The year that's gone by has been extremely gratifying for the Korean rapper. According to the latest news, GD has the most number of followers among kpop artists. He leads the list with 5.15 million followers, followed closely by Choi Siwon 5.13 million and Donghae who has 4.87 million followers. Perhaps it is the success of BIGBANG that inspired many to follow GD on Twitter.

Apart from his music, 27-year-old GD is famous for his quirky fashion sense. So, it was no surprise that Italian designer Guiseppe Zanotti collaborated with G-Dragon to release a line of footwear. The unisex shoes, and most things flamboyant, edgy and stylish represent GD in so many ways.

2015 K-Pop Idol Album Sales Rankings Revealed

News outlet Top Star News has revealed the 2015 album sales rankings according to Gaon Chart. They combined group, solo, and unit group albums sales. Then they compiled a list of the 26 top selling artists.

Did your favorite group or artist make the cut?

In first place comes EXO with a staggering 1,205,657 albums sold at the time this list was created. The large number of sales reflects the great size of their fandom.

BIGBANG comes in second with 423,341 albums sold. Third place goes to BTS who sold 343,928 albums. This number is an amazing feat considering that this group is newer than many others on the list. Looks like their popularity is rapidly increasing!

Meanwhile, SHINee combined with Jonghyun’s solo debut album sold 334,586 albums and reached fourth place. Rounding out the top five is Super Junior combined with Donghae and Eunhyuk’s unit group album. They sold 333,091 albums.

We are back, folks with another article detailing which Hallyu stars have the largest following on Twitter! The rankings have shifted just a tiny bit with the biggest change being at the utmost top of the chain. 

Just a couple weeks ago, Super Junior's Siwon had been ahead of everyone, with 5 million followers on Twitter. Now, however, G-Dragon is first place, as he gained over a hundred thousand in the two months since the last time the count was done. G-Dragon hasn't even been releasing any music as a solo artists lately--though he was very busy with BIGBANG activities--so it's amazing how he gained so many followers and fans this year! 

The rest of the top ten is the same as it was save for some minor changes. Here is the list in descending order: G-Dragon (5.14 million); Siwon (5.13 million); Donghae (4.87 million); Psy (4.12 million); Yesung (3.45 million); Nichkhun (3.42 million); Suzy (3.37 million); Leeteuk (3.3 million); Dara (3.2 million); BoA (3.19 million).

On the 27 this month in the afternoon, YTN “Enter K” show summarized Korea’s entertainment scene for the year 2015, selecting the singer of the year 2015.

In the show, different singers were picked as the candidates for the singer of the year 2015. BIGBANG was selected as the best singer of the year by 41 entertainment reporters.

Reporter Jung Joon-hwa who appeared in the show as a panel member said, “This year, many top singers came back one after another. Some said that it seems like G-DRAGON creates hit songs even by just breathing.”

The “Enter K” show is aired on every Sunday at 3:30pm.

2015 was the year of male soloists and boy bands — at least according to Gaon‘s respected streaming chart.

Local news outlet Hanguk Ilbo combined streaming chart data generated between December 28, 2014 and December 19, 2015 to find out which songs were most popular among the Korean public in 2015. The article refers to information provided by leading music chart Gaon, which compiles data from six leading music sites including Melon, Bugs, and Mnet to provide comprehensive charts about music sales, streaming, and more.

Surprisingly, only one girl group made the list this year — and on top of that, with a song released in 2014. EXID places eight with its viral hit “Up and Down.”

The only female soloist to break into the Top 10 is Baek Ah Yeon with her chart-topper “Shouldn’t Have.”

Also worth pointing out are this year’s big names BIGBANG and Zion.T. Both have three tracks in the Top 10, proving their commercial appeal and wide popularity.

Beloved ballad singer Brown Eyed Soul‘s Naul tops the list with his first solo single “You From the Same Time.”
