G-Dragon will be the next artist to cover WINNER’s “Sentimental”

The most anticipated artist to cover WINNER‘s upcoming title track “Sentimental” has been revealed to be the one and only G-Dragon!

Earlier today (26th), YG Entertainment and K-pop Star 4 winner Katie Kim released her own short cover of “Sentimental,” becoming the second one to do so following Akdong Musician the day prior.

WINNER’s senior, G-Dragon, shows his support for the group as he is set to be the third artist to cover “Sentimental” scheduled to be released on January 27th.

Various other artists have been showing their support for WINNER, including s Lee Hi, BIGBANG’s Taeyang, Zion.T, and soloist Dean, releasing short covers of their upcoming title tracks which also doubles as teasers with fans highly anticipating the track releases.

Since their debut in August 2014, this will be WINNER’s first comeback in a year and five months, releasing the album EXIT on February 1st.

Zion.T And Taeyang Do Beautiful Covers For WINNER’s Song ‘Baby Baby’

Zion.T and BIGBANG’s Taeyang both did a cover of the new WINNER song, ‘Baby Baby’. WINNER is finally making a comeback after two years and fans are excited! WINNER who is with the company YG Entertainment can finally get excited with this great news!

The two artists can be seen in the videos in the studio recording the covers. Zion.T’s version is in his usual slow jazz style, while Taeyang’s gives the feel of what music sounded like in the 50’s in America. Both are short video’s about 50 seconds long, but the teasing is just enough to leave us wanting more. WINNER’s new album ‘Exit’ is being released February 1st 2016.

I’m semi-excited for this new album. I’m a fan of theirs but I wouldn’t consider myself in the fandom perse. I love their sound and can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. Check out the videos below.

G-Dragon, member of the famous BIGBANG Band is set to do the cover project of Winner album’s track “Baby Baby”. He is the fifth to do Winner’s cover song. G-Dragon, is BIGBANG’s leader has already done various cover songs for different artists since he started his career. His collaboration work will be used by YG Entertainment to promote the soon to be released track. Others who participated are co-band members of G-Dragon himself – Lee Hi , Taeyang , Zion T and Dean.

Many will become curious about this as written in AskKPop because this is the first time G-Dragon will do a cover for a fellow artist. This big hearted artist said in YG United that he agreed to share his talent in this project because he thinks highly of WINNER members who are his colleagues.

He further stressed that in the music industry, where a wide variety of collaboration are taking place, the artists are able to stable and close relationship among singers under YG Entertainment through their generous support for each other. The YG Entertainment management has made a wise decision to utilize G-Dragon’s talent.

Their two tracks written by Nam Taehyun is in their comeback album. The South Korean idol group formed in 2014 through YG Entertainment is composed of Kang Seung-yoon, Song Mino, Nam Tae hyun, Kim Jinwoo, and Lee Seunghoon. Meanwhile, WINNER will grace the music scene through their mini album ‘Exit Movement: E. AskKPop mentioned February 1 is the date to watch out. [OSEN=??? ??] BIGBANG’s G-DRAGON did a cover of WINNER’s new single.

On January 24, a staff member of YG Entertainment told OSEN that G-DRAGON is the fifth artist to cover the title track of WINNER’s new album. It’s the first time that G-DRAGON – BIGBANG’s leader/fashionista – covered a song of another artist, and so, it is expected to create a big sensation.

The cover relay project is a pre-release promotion campaign for WINNER’s new album headed by YG’s CEO YANG HYUN SUK. The first two artists that covered the song were LEE HI and TAEYANG. They were followed by non-YG artists Zion.T and Dean.

Korea’s top R&B vocalists have participated in this cover relay project, and the fact that G-DRAGON is next up on the line is drawing great attention to the project.

G-DRAGON volunteered to cover WINNER’s new song since he cares about his lablemate WINNER a lot. G-DRAGON even appeared on the shows “WIN” and “WINNER TV”. Of course, the rising number of collaborations must have played a part on the new project. In any case, YG artists are known to be close and always give full support to their labelmates.

On January 24, a representative from YG Entertainment revealed that G-Dragon will be the fifth artist to cover the track.

GD & TAEYANG invest 3 billion won and 600 million won in YG Plus, etc., respectively

[OSEN=??? ??] BIGBANG member G-DRAGON (Gwon Ji-yong) and TAEYANG (Dong Young-bae) have decided to make a big investment in YG Plus and CODECOSME International, a cosmetics manufacturing and sales company.

According to YG Plus’s official release, G-DRAGON and TAEYANG invested 2 billion won and 300 million won in YG Plus, respectively. Plus, they invested 1 billion won and 300 million, respectively, in CODECOSME International.

Notably, G-DRAGON will endorse Moonshot, which is the cosmetics brand of CODECOSME International. The two’s investment was decided at the board meeting of YG Plus and CODECOSME International on the 22.

G-DRAGON and TAEYANG have been with YG for more than 10 years from the days of their training all the way until now when they have grown into world-famous stars. They made the decision on the big investment based on their big interest in the new businesses like Moonshot brand and “shared goals” of YG Plus and CODECOSME, for which YG is the largest shareholder.

The two artists’ investment in YG Plus and CODECOSME will draw a big attention from the business sectors of in and out of the country. Notably, as Moonshot brand now has G-DRAGON as an investor and endorsor at the same time, their overseas expansion is expected to gain a big momentum. G-Dragon and Sandara Park Named New Faces of Cosmetics Brand Moonshot

BIGBANG‘s G-Dragon and 2NE1‘s Sandara Park have been unveiled as the new main models for YG Entertainment‘s cosmetics brand Moonshot.

Both known for their youthful and trendy look, the two Hallyu stars will represent the brand in 2016. Previous models for the brand include Jung Yoo Jin, Lee Sung Kyung, and Choi Sora, who are all under the management of YG Entertainment or YG’s modeling agency K PLUS.

Sandara Park will be kicking off the year by starring in the ads for Moonshot’s new spring collection, and G-Dragon will step in later this year to model for Moonshot’s fresh new line of cosmetics targeting men. They are also expected to shoot various beauty spreads for both domestic and international publications.

A representative of Moonshot explained that they hope to increase and consolidate their appeal as a global makeup brand by having G-Dragon and Sandara Park — two leading K-pop icons — as their main models in the competitive K-beauty market.

Launched in October 2014, Moonshot has been available at Sephora stores in Singapore and Malaysia since last fall, following domestic success with the opening of a large flagship store, department store counters, and an online store.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and T.O.P turn heads with their interesting airport fashion

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and T.O.P turned some heads round at Incheon International Airport with their bold, contrasting fashion earlier today.

On January 22nd, G-Dragon and T.O.P were spotted heading out of Seoul, South Korea for a personal schedule in Paris, France. Although known for their own trademark styles, the two artists caused attention with their contrasting choice of “eyewear” as they made their way to the airport.

As seen in the photos, T.O.P opted to keep his look smart and polished by wearing eyeglasses, while G-Dragon covered his entire face with a mask and hat instead. The style in particular was specific to G-Dragon after previously causing attention for covering his face in Gimpo Airport last year.

Meanwhile, the two arrived in Paris, France to attend fashion week with T.O.P attending the collection presentation of Dior Homme. G-Dragon, on the other hand, will fly straight to South Korea after attending Chanel’s fashion show.
