As of June 9 at 6AM (Korean time), G-DRAGON’s new solo album “KWON JI YONG” is in No.1 on the iTunes albums charts of 39 countries including the United States, the biggest pop music market in the world (Argentina, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Brunei, Darussalam, Cambodia, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macao, Malaysia, Mexico, United States, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, and Vietnam).

That is an unprecedented record ever set by a Korean artist, which proves G-DRAGON’s unrivalled influence in the global music scene going beyond Asia. In Japan, G-DRAGON’s new songs will be released on one after another music-streaming websites, after its release on iTunes at 0 o’clock today.

G-DRAGON drew keen attention with his new solo album “KWON JI YONG” released on June 8 at 6PM. Because of the recent issue of another BIGBANG member T.O.P, G-DRAGON did not implement any specific promotion for his new album, but he still proved his full potential. He was still super popular and the whole world spotlighted the “GD Style”.

As of 11 AM on June 9, G-DRAGON’s new album “KWON JI YONG” became No.1 on five of QQ Music’s charts: it’s all new song, all music video, K-pop music video, popularity index, and realtime popularity vote chart.

On QQ Music’s all new song and popularity index charts, all the songs in G-DRAGON’s new album took the top spots, demonstrating G-DRAGON’s tremendous popularity in China.

G-DRAGON’s new album “KWON JI YONG” was released on June 8, and upon release, it swept all the major charts in Korea. The title track of the album “UNTITLED” is currently No.1 on all the major charts. Not only that, the song became No.1 on the iTunes charts of 39 countries, a first for a Korean musician.

According to Kworb, a website that collects and analyzes music data from around the world, G-DRAGON’s new album beat Coldplay and Ed Sheeran and took the No.1 spot on Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.

The pre-order of the “KWON JI YONG” album will begin at 11 AM on June 9. From June 19, the album will be sold in all the online and offline music stores including YG E-shop. A limited number of the album will also be sold at G-DRAGON’s solo concert, which will be held at the Sangam World Cup Stadium on June 10.

G-DRAGON’s new album will be sold as a USB, something that has never been done before.

Limited copies of “KWON JI YONG MAKING COLLECTION”—a photo book containing pictures of the “ACT III, M.O.T.T.E” concert in LA, the music video makings, and the album cover shooting—will also be out in the stores soon.

BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has secured a certified all-kill with his new track!

After the song “Untitled, 2014” off his new album “Kwon Ji Yong” was released on June 8, it quickly took over Korea’s major realtime charts.

Once all the music sites had updated their daily song charts by 2:30 p.m. KST on June 9, “Untitled, 2014” was at No. 1 on both the daily and realtime charts on all six major music sites. Since the track also held the No. 1 spot on iChart’s own realtime chart, the song achieved what’s called a certified all-kill!

For “Untitled, 2014” to grab what is referred to as a “perfect all-kill,” it will need to remain at No. 1 on all these charts as well as take the top spot on iChart’s weekly chart.

G-Dragon’s new song has also been smashing it internationally, and swept worldwide iTunes charts soon after its release. As of June 9 at 11 a.m. KST, G-Dragon was also in the top spot on Chinese music site QQ Music’s charts for new songs, overall music videos, K-Pop music videos, and the trending index. Other songs on his new album have also taken high positions on the site’s charts.

On June 8 at 6PM, G-DRAGON released his new solo album “KWON JI YONG” on music-streaming websites in Korea.

As of the same day at 9PM, “UNTITLED”, the title track of the album, topped the real-time charts of eight music-streaming websites in Korea, including Melon, Genie, Bugs, and NAVER Music.

Other songs of the album including “BULLSHIT” and “SUPER STAR” alto took No.2 and No.3 on charts.

G-DRAGON has released the new solo album for the first time in four years since “COUP D’ETAT” released in 2013. G-DRAGON’s new solo album “KWON JI YONG” presents total five songs: intro track “MIDDLE FINGERS-UP”, “BULLSHIT”, “SUPER STAR”, “UNTITLED”, and “DIVINA COMMEDIA”.

Title track “UNTITLED” is a slow song with an impressive piano melody, which expresses the feeling of missing past love in a sentimental mood.

In his new album, G-DRAGON openly talks about his stories and thoughts as one of grown-ups and his feelings about the beginning of his thirties, as ordinary person “Kwon Jiyong”.
